I never have but i heard about a new special they're doing on Nostradamus (that ancient prophet that supposedly predicted a bunch of world events) which looks pretty interesting...any other opinions?

I believe this is a repeat. They had a program on about him about this time last year.
Growing older is manditory
Growing up is however, optional
i watch wild west tech, i love that show

I like the History Channel and History International. I haven't watched much as of late, so I missed the preview for the Nostradamus thing. Wonder if it's new or the same one as last year.
I also like National Geographic.
LOVE the History channel. I like the History's Mysteries, Modern Marvels, etc.
I too think the Nostradamus thing is a repeat. I remember watching something on him last year. Kind of freaky. I may have to watch it again.

Hmmm, that does sound familiar, but I'm still going to check it out.
Any idea when it's on?

I caught bits and peices from the Nostradamus special.
I do watch the History Channel a lot though. I mostly watch Digging for the Truth and Modern Marvels.
Now that I think about the 9/11 thing, it wasn't strictly a nostradamus thing, it was other prediction type people as well, but they did mention him.

The History Channel has a tendency to repeat shows, but still advertise them. I tend to frequently watch The History Channel, but have not seen anything about 28 October's Nostradamus show and the online schedule ends on the 27th.
I'd watch more History Channel if it were more about real history and not about made-up stuff.
Like, say, Nostradamus.

I love all the channels that are part of Discovery. I have learned more about things and other countries and history than I ever did by reading books in school.
Peter Pan Forever!!! I Will Never Grow Up.

So I have seen the commercial, and this is a new show on Nostradamus. Don't know why people would say it is fake. Nostradamus did exist and did make writings. The History Channels does shows on various topics (though typically Hitler or UFOs).
The History Channel is owned by A&E Television Networks, not Discovery Communications.
I wouldn't say Nostradamus was a phony. He wrote down a lot of stuff, and others (the real phonies) are linking these "predictions" to actual events. You write down enough predictions, a few can be interpreted as true, after several centuries of events.
And I would be skeptical of the people that "found" the books.
