Mtv is crap and vh1 is getting there, one can only take so much of mini-marathons of 'America's next top model'.

Re: MTV - Am I just getting too old??

I saw a commercial when I was watching an episode of "Made" (don't know why, but when NOTHING else is on, I kind of like that show!) - it was for another Real World Guantlet or whatever they call the massive cast of out of work actor wannabees converging upon a tropical setting, getting drunk, fighting, hooking up, breaking up and oh, competing for some prize. Anyway, I saw Coral on there and my first thought was "she is getting WAY too old for this stuff." At least last I checked those two guys that were on the very first Real World or road rules (Eric Neis and that other blonde guy? thank you IMDB...Tim!) aren't doing it anymore. Are they? eeks - talk about TOO OLD for MTV!
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

Trust me, you're not getting old. MTV hasn't aired any decent programming in at least 15 years.

Thank god for VH1 Classic. At least they air programming related to MUSIC.

I totally agree with you, BFJen!

I used to love Real World and Road Rules, but it lost its sense of fun years ago.
    I also miss Daria.

I think what's sad is that our mid 30's is considered 'old', in this regard.

I don't see how MTV is watchable for anyone. We tried to watch the NYE thing and it was so bad and we had kids from 9-27. I dont think anyone really enjoyed it.

MTV is not what it used to be thats for sure.

VH1 is still ok though :]

All of those so called "music" channels are crap. IMF was the only decent one, so it figures that I change my cable provider so I don't have that channel anymore. VH1 Classic is alright, but I was born in 85' so i'm not such a fan of 80's music. And the cheese factor of those videos isn't that entertaining anymore.

I'm definitely a child of the 80's - I remember staying up all night trying to catch a glimpse of the Thriller video!

I think the turn came for me when the Real World did the Vegas stint - after that, it was just how much booze and sex can we cram into all of our programming.

I'll even admit to enjoying Beavis and Butthead - they were out there, but never took things too far - ala South Park.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!
