    The Baby Borrowers

I just watched the first 2 episodes of this reality/documentary. As a parent of 'know it all teenagers' it provides great comic relief.

Basically 5 teenage couples who just know that they want to spend their lives together have been set up in houses on a cul-de-sac and then are given real life challenges.

Stage I - the girls were to wear pregnancy bellies for 24 hours, one girl wouldn't do it because her boyfriend laughed at her and so he ended up wearing it. They also got some training on caring for a baby and had to go home and set up a nursery.

Stage 2 - The babies arrived. Ha-Ha, meltdown city for many of them. After day 1, one parent was supposed to go work for 8 hours a day.

Some of the next episodes they will get toddlers, then teenagers and finally senior citizens to take care of.

I saw it on the schedule, but didnt watch it, kinda scared me. who would put their babies in that environment?

I just know, from experience, if a tv show asks you to volunteer your kids, you have no control over what goes on (simple life, when they did child care, we were offered the "chance" to have Max participate. we said no and during taping, hubby was happy he said no. thats all ill say about that)

This show did allow the babies parents to interupt and they were able to watch the entire time from camera's placed in another house in the culdesac. In addition each baby had a full time nanny to supervise the care of the babies in case of emergency. Two of the mom's did come over with concerns.

    NBC

I watched it too and I have to say that I am appalled by Alecia's behavior and attitude. She blames everything on other people and when the baby's mother came over to give her advice, Alecia kept butting in and then later accused her of verbally attacking her?!?! She has a LONG way to go before she will be ready to deal with a baby!

    My best score ever!
