| Re: Hilton Head Trip Report/Photos Most owners of a DVC realize that when they sell their ownership, due to Disney's Right of First Refusal, that the initial purchase price that was paid is usually returned. So, the true cost of vacationing is the maintenance and tax charges on the points used for a trip. A summer time vacation at Hilton Head for one week in a studio requires 118 points. M/T on 118 points are $5.16 per point for a total of $608. 7 nights devided by $608 is $86.85 per night. When you compare that to a rental at Hilton Head DVC or a rental at one of the "nicer" surrounding properties, it is a pretty good price for what you get. Just an opinion.
