Owning more than one resort points question!

I'm still a little lost on the ins and outs of the DVC!

Question...if you own one resort and add on another how do the points work then? for example..you already own 160 points at AKV (11 month booking) and add on 50 Vero Beach...would the vero beach 11 month window only extend to those 50 points or to the total of 210?

You can book a home resort at the 11-month window using only the points you own at that particular home resort. You can only combine points at the 7-mo window.

Anyone care to elaborate on these booking 'windows'? Is this some special opportunity booking time frame for DVC owners? Would love to know more...

DVC Members can book their "home resort" up to 11-months in advance of their check-in date, and all other DVC resorts up to 7-months in advance of their check-in date.

160 point Start book room At AKV Check-in Oct 25 2009 (11 month home resort).
(50 points) book room at Vero Beach check-in Oct 25 2009 (11 month home resort.)

If you goto OKW and use the total point (210) then your window is 7 month before check-in.
let use Oct dates.
check-in on Oct 25 2009 at OKW Start book your Room on Apirl 25, 2009

You would be able to book 50 points at Vero up to 11 months in advance at Vero and the the AKV 160 points at Vero in under 7 months in advance. No combining home booking priority.
