Re: So who is buying into the Grand Californian next week?

I found out why I thought it was too high. INTEREST! Do I feel sheepish!

Squidmo, I forgot to thank you for the info on the points for the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, and welcoming me to DVC! THANKS!

Re: So who is buying into the Grand Californian next week?

did anyone go to the presentations this weekend? i went saturday at 1 and it was really cute! they made me want to buy in really bad with all of their special offers and free trips!! eek but i don't see a need for me to buy it except that if i buy 200 pts i get a $7 per pt credit, a 3 night stay at GC while waiting for the villas to finish and a 7 night stay at an RCI resort! lol and if i buy more and more pts i get more freebies! but i'm not at the age to be buying this and i don't think my dad is down to buy this when he needs to pay for an expensive university and private high school....i guess we could just drop out and live at dland or dworld forever?! hahahaha ya..right

Well once you graduate from school, perhaps you can buy into it then.

Added-on at Villas at Disney's Grand Californian

After reviewing the new incentives, I decided to add-on points at The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Disneyland.

I purchased 125 points at VGC @ $96/pt.

I now have a total of 1,125 points spread across 6 home resorts.

I'll be staying a week at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Disneyland in May, so I'm looking forward to seeing the progress that's been made at my newest home resort.

It seems GC is practical mostly for those who already have a home resort at WDW, or for those who don't travel there often.
First, 7 months to book AKL, OKW, Saratoga Springs is very easy to get. Even BWV and maybe Contemporary aren't so bad either.

Second, you can pick up a 50 point contract at a WDW resort that you like giving you a trip every three years of 150 points and the 11 month window using banking and borrowing.

I added 125 points at VGC, taking the incentive of $8.00 off per point and a 4 day cruise for my family of four.
