![]() | 2010 chart taken down.Points being adjusted Something strange happening at DVC. They posted up charts for 2010 then took them down again. The official line is that they were posted in error. In effect they are reducing the amount of points required for Friday & Saturday night stays but are adding points to some other nights of the week. For some one bedroom stays at weekends expect up to a 6 point reduction per Friday or Saturday night but add on 2 points per night Sunday to Thursday. We can only expect similar for two bedrooms and grand villas. Despite Disney's promise never to increase the point requirement "per property per year" they do reserve the right to adjust up and down within a week in any season. This needs to be sorted urgently as some members need to start making their bookings from 1st February. The thing to remember is that the overall points charged are for the entire resort in any one year not a particular room size. Good one, eh? Studios are likely cost you more points. ![]() | Re: 2010 chart taken down.Points being adjusted Following on from my post the other day.......... 1/26 DVC has approved and posted the 2010 points charts in time for the 11 month reservation window for January 2010 stays. The points charts have indeed been adjusted to reduce points for weekend stays. However, weeknight stays are costlier in some instances, and whole week stays have also increased in some instances, but have gone down in others. Members can check the points charts on the member website. Members today received an email with this notice: Quote: Disney Vacation Club adjusts 2010 Vacation Points charts To help address a growing Member interest in weekend stays and to better manage inventory of available rooms at Disney Vacation Club Resorts, Disney Vacation Club has adjusted 2010 Vacation Points charts, primarily reducing Vacation Point requirements for most Friday and Saturday nights. In addition to better reflecting the changes in Members' vacationing patterns, the adjusted charts make accommodations more affordable during many popular Walt Disney WorldŽ events, such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and ESPN The Weekend. To make this change possible, Vacation Point requirements for most instances of Sunday-Thursday stays are now higher. However, a full week's stay will essentially cost the same amount of Vacation Points as before. To view the adjusted Vacation Points charts, click on the "View Vacation Points Charts" link in the "Plan My Vacation" section of this Web site (located on the right side of the page).
