What is the process to become a DVC member?

On Wednesday, I gave all of my information needed to buy into the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. I was just curious to know what takes place and about how long it takes for things to be finalized. I got an email from my guide today, saying that they are behind on processing, and she is still waiting for my member number. Can anyone enlighten me to what else happens during the process of becoming a member?

Well, I still haven't recieved my paperwork. Man, they must really be backed up with all of the requests for the Villas.

I don't think I would be of much help. I made an appointment, went in and filled out the pprk, got at temp id card and left. It took about 2 hours (I also toured SSR, where I purchased). It has been about 3 years, but I did get a "binder" of stuff when I left. I took out a small loan towards the contract, so I got stuff about that a little later in the mail.

I finally got in touch with my guide, and she told me why I did not recieve my paperwork. I am a Disney Store Cast Member, and my discount was not applied on my purchase, so they had to redo all of the paperwork. I just recieved everything from FedEx yesterday, and I am starting to fill everything out with my wife. I am very excited!!!!!!!
