Can DVC Points be used for Cruises?

My wife and I were looking through the Dream book and noticed that it had no information on points be used for Cruises. Do any of you veteran DVC'ers have any info on that?

Thanks for the info. I did end up finding it in some literature I got with my paperwork. I got excited to be able to go on a Cruise with my wife, until I saw that the points being used for the Cruise was per person. Well, we may have to bank one year for both of us to be able to go.

Does anyone know when the West Coast will get a Disney Cruise ship. I heard that one of the ships are supposed to be permanently docked on the West Coast sometime in the near future.

Word has it that the Wonder will be repositioned to Los Angeles sometime in 2011.

I think that now there is a DVC Resort on the West Coast, we should get our very own Cruise Ship.

Keep in mind that Disney Vacation Club and Disney Cruise Line are two complete SEPARATE entities... just because the Disneyland Resort is opening up DVC villas at the Grand Californian Hotel has nothing to do with Disney Cruise Line.

However, information stated here is correct... the Disney Wonder will be repositioned to the Port of Los Angeles sometime in 2011 for at least two years, with an option for an additional three year extension under the current contract signed. At this time, there are no word on what the itineraries will be.

I know that this topic is old, but I wanted to say a few things. I guess what I should have said in my previousl post in this thread was that now that we have DVC on the West Coast, perhaps a Cruise ship would follow. I know that they are individual entities, and maybe the success and popularity of DVC in California and Hawaii would spark interest in a permanent Cruise ship. I think it would be cool if they would do Cruises to Hawaii like to do Cruises to the Caribbean in Florida. The possibilites are endless. Why should Florida guests get all of the fun?
