Has anyone heard that they're going to build a rooftop platform on the Grand Californian Villas to view the World of Color?

I believe they already have one.
The viewing area is visible in most of the construction photos that show the hotel and the northern area of Paradise Pier.
Its basically the tall red tower connected to the hotels new tower that will open in September.
here you could see it in this picture
http://darkbeer.smugmug.com/Theme-Pa...291_UgNnT-A-LB
it is the red tower in the middle of the hotel structure partially blocked by the lighthouse that sits behind the old souvenir 66 shop
it should hold quite a bit of people, also remember that quite a few guests that are staying on that wing will be able to see the show from their balcony.
the one thing i do not know is whether that viewing area will only be open for DVC members or all guests in the hotel. If it is open to all guests then they will have to have somekind of sign in sheet to control everyone from going up there at the same time
Has anyone gone up there yet? Anyone preview repot of the new DVC section yet?
It's a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah...Tip for Today!
I wonder if it's an optimal view. It does seem to be off to the side quite a bit from Paradise Bay.
The Grand Villa facing Paradise Pier seems to have the better view of the show. I wonder why both Grand Villas were not built facing the park?
Well if it's like Bay Lake tower you have to show a valid room key for the property and your DVC membership card (aka blue card) to get in. So if your a guest and not a DVC member or a DVC member and not a guest of the resort you would be denied entry. Given the small number of DVC rooms at DLC I would assume they will be as or more strict on access to the viewing area than they are at Bay Lake Tower in WDW.
Hi I'm Jerren and I'm a Disneyholic...
Do you suppose they'll have speakers up in the viewing area for the show just like in BLT? Do you think they'll broadcast Disneyland's firework music tracks from there too?
Now with the DVC BLT and Contemporary Resort there are three location.
I know two place have the Firework Music track there.
1: California Grill: 15th floor. Must be eat or drink at the restaurants.
there is a two outside deck with Firework music.
One for Restaurants guest
VIP party guest room and deck.
2: Contemporary Resort 4th floor there is a deck open anyone.
3: Now Dvc Bay lake towers:
Side note I do not know if deck have sound?
I have not been at the deck and see the fireworks.
Now back at VGC view deck.
I know the Concierge room have sound pipe in for Firework at Disneyland.
most of Disneyland hotel have a TV channel that plays the Disneyland Firework music in the rooms.
DCA can set up a same type system and pipe to the VGC rooms TV. the room face DCA lagoon.
