My dad bought a DVC for Aulani because we have family with small children who live near aulani in Hawaii i was wondering when we go we usually always hang out together at the hotel are they considered guest if they are staying with us we will be getting a 2 bedroom suite and they will be their for a few days staying with us does this mean they get access to everything we get access to like pools etc or do they need to pay for a wristband thing to enjoy the pool?
You need to show your room key at the desk where you get your towels for the pool. They will give you a wristband good for that day. So unless the local family is provided room keys by your family / Disney, they won't have access to the pool.
If Aulani is run like other Disney resorts, your family may be able to have Disney provide them with room keys that do not have charging privileges on them. That would allow them to use the pool, go back to the suite at their leisure, but not allow them to purchase meals or souvenirs.
Disney doesn't have any pool passes to purchase that I'm aware of. There's always swimming at Lagoon 1, as well.
