Perhaps but it doesn't seem to give you nearly the same bang for the buck

Re: DVC-An owners view.

Wow! alot of great info... I am just curious about how many points it takes to stay at Disneyland. There seems to be alot of info about WDW, I guess there are more options there. Would it be benifical if I mostly went to Disneyland?

True maybe but then if I go to somewhere in Europe or Africa my air fares aren't as huge as they would be to the US. And plus there's a great big world beyond Disney Parks.

Disneyland point requirements (Sunday to Thursday):

Paradise Pier ranges from 17 points a night (Standard) to 31 points (Concierge) - Jan 6 thru Feb 16 - "super value season". In Peak season (Jan 1-5 / March 16-29 / Nov 23-29 / Dec 21 - 31) these rise to 25 (standard ) to 44 (Concierge).

Disneyland Hotel - super value 18 per night (standard) to 33 (concierge)
Peak season - 26 (standard) to 46 ( concierge)

Grand Californian - super value 23 (standard) to 41 (concierge)
33 (standard) to 57 (concierge) at Peak.

Remember Friday and Saturday nights cost more points - anywhere between 8 extra (standard) to 16 extra per night at peak.

Park tickets are extra!

There's also a a "Value" Season and a "Regular" season. Go figure!
