    What DLP does best

Following on from my thread to discover your worst DLP experience, and prompted by visitors to the DLP forum insisting on 'bigging up' their chosen park over DLP - here is a new thread.

    What DLP does best.

No negatives. No mention of other parks (except for comparison). This is a celebration!

    Come on people!

Thank you so much for your invaluable contribution TDLFAN. It has proven to be both valuable and absolutely hilarious. I cannot express how grateful I am.

Pick sunny days for brochure photo shoots. Make hotel guests think they're being pampered. Hire staff whose facial expressions are absolutely authentic. Showcase the gritty realism of the places its parks represent (and occasionally add to it). Make Disney's California Adventure feel better about itself. Mercifully extinguish France's long-held delusion that it could keep American culture at bay. Make a thousand dishes out of hamburger patties. Unite Europe against a common enemy.

To 17 more years! Most of which will of course be spent celebrating the 15th.

Almost every attraction that is in another park, DLP has the best version. Best table service experiences in a MK park - Walt's, Silver Spur, Auberge de Cindrillon.
Some of the best stage shows Disney has ever produced in a theme park.
Best Main Street, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and I prefer Discoveryland to Tomorrowland

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show - best dinner show on the planet IMHO

    Steak House
    California Grill
    Annette's

    Panaramagique

    Best masterplan for a resort.
Let's put the Walt back in Disney!

By far the most beautiful entrance to a Magic Kingdom.

~ Tokyo DisneySea’s Arabian Coast at nighttime ~

    Re: What DLP does best

Opinions from someone who hasn't been there:

The best Main Street (including the best looking (on the outside) DL Hotel, though TDL Hotel is of higher quality)

    The best BTMRR

    The best POTC

I think Adventure Island was an improvement on Tom Sawyer Island, but in its current state, I don't know.

The best Fantasyland (in terms of looks; Tokyo's is better in terms of rides, thanks to Hunny Hunt).

Formerly...the best Tomorrowland (or Tomorrowland equivalent)...in its current state though, I would give the edge to Tokyo.

The Wild Bill show is probably the best dinner show at a Disney resort.

Nothing about the second gate strikes me as "the best". There's certainly some of what I consider "very good" but nothing I would consider "best." Hopefully, Monsieur Remy can change that in a few years.

As far parades and shows inside parks, they are all done better elsewhere, though there are some good ones at DLP.

Hmmm, few things I need to disagree with, as someone who has been to DL, WDW and DLP on many occasions (and all 3 within the last 18 months). I think WDSP has a better version of the tram tour, Moteurs Action, RNRCoaster, and my fav version of ToT. Also Stitch Live is better than Turtle Talk. And Cinemagique is pure Disney class. And Cars is better than Francis Ladybug Boogie.

As for shows, DLP's shows are better than anything at WDW IMHO, only beaten by the excellent Aladdin at DCA. Also, the OUAD parade is better than any of the daytime parades at WDW or DL.
Let's put the Walt back in Disney!

Disagree on this. TDR has the best shows and parades at both TDL and TDS of any Disney resort on Earth. Sorry baloo.

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show - best dinner show on the planet IMHO.
Can not argue with that because Buffalo Bills remains the ONLY dinner show ever produced by Disney, since no other Disney resort offers the same format.

Ok fair, point, I have not been to Tokyo yet. However, they offer better shows than WDW (though that is not difficult).

And again to give the other guy some props, Disney does have the Luau and Hoop Dee Doo Dinner shows and BBWWS is better than those, as well as all the other pretenders around the globe.

    Re: What DLP does best

    - By far the best Big Thunder Mountain
    - The best looking Space Mountain from outside
    - A unique castle
    - the Disneyland Hotel
    - A better studio entrance than the one at WDW (but once you enter studio 1 it's over )
    - Rock 'n' Rollercoaster (when lights are fixed)
