Are their any special locations I should be on the lookout for to find atmosphere and face characters at DLP? I'm hoping to find characters that are rare to DLR. Does anyone have any tips on where to look? If so that'd be just great

Rubber-heads that seem to be very common in DLP but rare elsewhere include the Robin Hood characters (Robin, Sheriff, Tuck and Prince John).
As I have said before, the language barrier seems to stop many meet and greet face characters appearing at DLP but the Prince and Princess meal and the Sleeping Beauty ceremony are two good ways to get close to them. In high season there tends to be some meet and greets organised at the hub for face characters but there are always very long queues for them.
It would be easier if you named the characters you would like to meet...

Here come's the bride.
As long as we live.
Till death do us part.
You may kiss the bride.
Apart from Frollo, I have seen all of the above rubberhewads at meet and greets. Radcliffe at Annette's Character Breakfast and the rest at both Cafe Mickey and the Character Express (now Minnie's something-or-ther train thing).
I have never seen Esmeralda or Pocahontas at DLP. The only face characters I have seen (outside of parades) are Cinderella, Belle, Arora, Wendy, Pan, Hatter and Alice. Plus various random princes.

i'm quite lucky really, as robin hood is my favourite disney film, i get to see all my favourite characters quite a lot when i'm there :-)
didn't see robin this year though at all, but did see prince john, tuck and the sheriff a lot!
oh yeah, no face characters out and about either, aurora at the castle ceremony and wendy and peter running to the stage for MMP was it i think. and the parade of course.
I am afraid not, here in Europe, vacation time is very short in the summer, so summer season usually runs from about 14th July to 31st August give or take a day or two. Not many shows, no fireworks or Fantillusion in May I am afraid, plus shorter hours (usually 10-7 or 8)

In Germany we have 6 weeks too.
But season starts at different times at the single federal states. For some it starts at the end of June and ends at the beginning of August. Here in Bavaria ist starts at the beginning of August and ends in the middle of September. So, if you sum it up, you could say, holiday season is almost 3 month in Germany.
A character I saw very often during my last visits was Scrooge McDuck.
During my Halloween visits, Radcliffe and Frollo were everywhere
(Frollo even jumped out of the dark in the Dragon's cave and scared my brother!)
Smee seems to be as ubiquitous as Chip n Dale at DLRP - or at least he has been ever time I've visited.
A good place to check out DLRP characters past and present is - Photos Magiques - Characters gallery
