From what I can see in the photos, I actually quite like it! I could do with seeing some wider shots, so we can see how it fits into the Animation Courtyard as a whole though. Another point - weren't they going to build this in front of the palisades between Art of Animation and Aladdin, to hide the construction work on Toon Studios?
If only they'd unleash those great ideas that Imagineers really have and throw money at those. Then really inspired things could come out of the Disney Company. I'll bet you that one or two Imagineers with true creativity had a great idea for this 'village' that someone in a business suit looked at and said, 'Nice, but it's going to cost too much. Let's go with the revamped Disney Afternoon Avenue idea from Disneyland Anaheim. It worked then... back in 1989..."
According to another forum (Disney Central Plaza), this is only half the village. The rest is going to be installed infront of the Toon Studios construction site, as I'd heard previously. This thing is actually going to be pretty big!
