Canyou imagine if DLP was maintained to DL's standards? Amazing!
But glad to see it is getting love in time for the anniversary. Same as WDW Magic Kingdom.

Why keep going on about it?

Every park has its bad points, and most are working to remedy them. Its no use still saying "well they do it better over there".

    Do I remind you that?

And no, it's not at Paris... it's in California so...

    Anyway... Some news :
A white tarpaulin has covered the (bottom of the) castle in hold of the thematic one (? I couldn't translate in English properly, i'm sorry...)

And not far from the castle, the path between Central Plaza and It's Small World is reconstructed (with paved) :

    That's all for today

It's not timmy timmy timmy's posting that is depressing, it is the poor management designs and neglect of the real magic of Disney - maintenance, customer service, cleanliness. $1.2bn is being spent in WDW to allow you to book meet and greets and ride time. Sorry, that still won't get me to go back to WDW (last trip was a worse state than Paris for maintenance and service).

And fans who defend the walmarting of the mouse, are a huge part of the problem frankly.
Let's put the Walt back in Disney!

Its a constant battle to fix this park. Something gets fixed and something else still needs fixing. Its my understanding that Tom Staggs pushing for it is the reason behind the Castle Refurbishment in the first place. Timmy is absolutely right to address the problems with this park because its a shambles. You think finally painting the castle after 18 years should change people's views when the rest of the park is in such a disgrace. I am fed up with coming to the Disneyland Paris boards and not being able to see people voice there frustration without someone getting worked up about it. Face it people one refurbishment on the Castle changes nothing!

    Re: Sleeping Beauty Castle Refurbishment

After 18 years? And what is that?

Yes, it's a refurb after the 5th anniversary... So no, they didn't wait 18 years for a refurb -_-"
Timmy has already address the problems with the park... but it's not worthwhile to do it on every new topic, furthermore if it's a topic which announce a good news!
Besides, did you really see my latest post? Only "
one refurbishment on the Castle" ?
It's obvious that the management make effort!

Anyway, I forget to mention this in my latest post :
The bench in front of "Le Théâtre du Château"
has been removed for the refurb of the ground!

Really a refurbishment, you sure it wasn't just to remove the Birthday Cake overlay that was in really poor taste, decorated over the Castle during the 5th Anniversary?

I think Timmy is looking at the bigger picture here. Not getting all over hyped because there have finally got round to refurbishing the Castle. Timmy knows that while work continues on fixing what has become years of neglect for the Castle. The rest of the park continues to rot away. I don't see this as Management making an effort, but more something that could no longer be put on hold. Is that something to really cheer about, I think not.

    Re: Sleeping Beauty Castle Refurbishment

I'm a former Cast Member at Disneyland Paris and after seeing the park every day for 4 months I must admit things are in bad shape. I visit Disney World twice a year and from what I have seen Paris is in far worse condition.

Even if EuroDisney don't have the money to build new attractions and fix the Studio's Park they could at least improve the maintenance. There is trash all over the park, in the gardens especially and the restrooms are in a disgusting state. I know the guests are partly to blame but keeping the park clean should be the biggest priority. At least the Orlando parks aren't dirty and paint isn't peeling from the buildings.

As Malin & Timmy both said people shouldn't keep saying management are making an effort. Perhaps they have made changes in the last few years but it really shouldn't take this long just to make the park nice.

Yes, it was. The color of the castle changed in 97 compared to 92.
