Yes it's the final version! Once repainted, it looks like too "plastic", that's for why you have to wait some time for a better look! With the rain and so on, the rocks will become "more real".

Hi, I'm a french who tries to speak in English! Please forgive me for the horrible mistakes I make. And don't hesitate to correct me :-) Thank you!

So the way they do it in Paris is to paint it cheaper and then let nature have it´s way for a decade or two...
In some other parks they make it look natural from day one...
I know it is just a detail... one can´t be too picky when it comes to details, I know!

But then again, when WAS the last time DLP did anything right in your opinion? Why not boycott the park? Ask Wiggins for advice!

Do you think that newly repainted rockwork looks good?

What rock? The one of the bottom of the picture, or the other one?

Oh! Sorry I had not well understood. I don't think that is the "final" color. The rock was cleaned, and later, it will be repainted.
I'm quite sure, but not at 100%. Anyway, it still better like that than the other one!

Surely they has to be some sort of standard to adhere to when doing things like this?

I can't see Imagineering or whomever has the jurisdiction over it to allow just a base coat like that.
Let's hope it is just primer.

The "old" rockwork looks natural. It´s the only thing that actually looks better with age.

Yes, the work is not scheduled to be finished until later in the year. Shame for you, but this is at least 9 years overdue from when the first mold and chipping really became noticeable.
Let's put the Walt back in Disney!

Well that really sucks. I rather see the mold and chipping.. I also got some freinds that are coming for the first time to DLP. What a good first impression that will make. not trying to fuel that fire or anything but something like this would never happen in the states, and this would make Walt roll over in his grave! Dont get me wrong I really love DLP, I think its a great park and my first time there was wonderful and I would love to go back, but seeing these pictures is making me really upset and not even wanting to go anymore.

Are you talking about the Caslte's refurb? If you do, you're wrong !
Don't you remember how was the castle at Disneyland Resort just before the 50th anniversary of the park?
And Tokyo just before the 25th Anniversary of the resort?

Nope never saw disneyland resort before the 50th anniversary so my bad, and how did they leave the scafolding up then? And I take it that there will be more construction going on since I have read Thunder will be down for some time in the next months? It wont bother me so much if its just the castle thats getting repainted, I just really dont want to see it through out many places in the park and have paid alot of money to get in.
