Two new Attractions for Walt Disney Studios Park in 2014

According to an interview in the French newspaper Le Figaro, Euro Disney SCA CEO Philippe Gas said that Disney is opening two new attractions inside WDSP in 2014.

The first one is the long awaited Ratatouille dark ride and the second one will be smaller, but there aren't more infos yet.

Since the licencing agreement with TWDC on Armageddon is running out and Mr. Gas doesn't want to renew a 10 year old licence on a 15 year old movie, I guess we will get a replacement of Armageddon.

I´d like to see a small carousell to finnish of the "Parisian" land in WDS. But I never get to see what I want in that place... infact... nobody does. That´s why it is WDS

Great to hear that the ride will be built. A few more unique rides and a complete retheme of the entire park and... boom we have a real Disney park to match it´s bigger brother next door.

^Actually a carousel would be nice.

As for another new attraction, well great news if they actually do follow through with it, you know how EuroDisney are.

As much as I like Armageddon for being something unique to WDS I guess I wouldn't be too sad to see it go.

Using Marvel characters is an interesting prospect, which would certainly be popular, but if its in the Backlot it'd sort of pen them in. Unless they do a complete retheme on RnRc when that license expires...

Mr. Iger said in the recent shareholder meeting that several parks around the globe could get Marvel based attractions. So why not WDSP?

However I guess we will get either a Armageddon replacement or a small new ride for Toon Studios. There it is very easy to add a new attraction.

A classic carousell in a Paris themed area would be a great addition.

According to Mouetto from the French Disney Central Plaza site it was confirmed that there was just a mistake in the interview. WDSP will NOT get two new rides. There will only by Ratatouille.

I want to say "I thought it was too good to be true" but there's part of you that hoped it was.

I'm surprised they've to consider a TSMM for Toy Story Playland. That would help give the park and extra boost in that area.

It would also cost 75 million dollars (probably more considering how expensive it tends to be when building in France). The area is already very crowded, so a new expensive attraction won't necessarily make economic sense at the moment.
