DLP officially announces Ratatouille (opening 2014)

The Ratatouille Ride has been officially announced. According to Philippe Gas (CEO Disneyland Paris), it's going to be the first of a new generation of rides.

The Ratatouille project also includes a table service restaurant, a shop and new toilets. Philippe Gas didn't talk about the whole project, just the main idea (namely the ride).

I heard somewhere that the ride system would be "trackless"; similar to the Winnie the Pooh ride in Tokyo. I'm not 100% certain though.

Same here! I thought this ride was officially announced ages and ages ago...

Disneyland Paris formalises rides even after the beginning of their construction. That's normal for Disneyland Paris and different from all the other Disney resorts' communication strategies. Disneyland Paris can't communicate.

If I remember right they didn't announce La ToT until quite sometime into construction, and give its location its not like you could ignore it.
