    Concept art?

Does anyone have or know where I could find concept art of the ToT at the studios? I remember seeing it somewhere but for the life of me can't find it.

    Re: Concept art?

I've never seen real concept art for ToT on the web. Alot of creations taking the DCA tower and photoshopping it in and such but no Disney work.
Just imagine DCA's ToT in its place...just supposedly white in color, not yellow. Or not as yellow.

It isn't actually. I hope the at least change the white colore to something more visible in the foggy whiteish Marne-la-Vallée sky.

Well of course they'll paint it very yellow. First of all, everything at DLRP has warmer, deeper colours than DL and WDW because of the climate. They'd never think of painting it white. Second of all, the DCA tower fits like a glove in the Front Lot architecture and was allegedly designed for the WDS in the first place. I don't know how much more obvious it could get, really.
But then what do I know.

Everything you said is logically true, I was just relaying that I read somewhere one of the plans had the tower painted white.
So yes it all matches the Frontlot and makes sense for yellow but no need to get sarcastic.

    Re: Concept art?

DCA's tower should have either been craftsman style or hollywood art deco instead of the pueblo deco stlye. The pueblo deco style is perfect for the studios style of Paris.

    Re: Concept art?

I think that DCA tower would be ugly no matter where they put it. I guess if they put an ugly ToT in an ugly park like WDSP, it might actually fit in...what I don't get is how the WDSP isn't opening until 2008. It could easily be finished within another year...

Is this what you mean? I've found it on www.dlrp.fr. I've seen it before on other websites as well. It looks quite white to me (but then maybe the picture is not very good).

I still don't understand the idea behind the storyline. Are we supposed to be in Hollywood? Why an hotel in the middle of a working studios? Why spanish/hacienda style when the surroundings (however bare they are) seems to be more Miami art-deco style?

I'm confused. Well at least it looks pretty

That is true. Just because it is based around Hollywood doesn't mean that it has to be built in a working studio. It's understandable in MGM studios because they have an entire blvd. dedicated to help build up the theme, but in this park, it is plopped right in the middle of everything. Same goes for the tower in DCA.

Anyways, this is what I was looking for. I wanted to see if there were any differences in the design, and this looks like it has a few alterations and additions to the exterior. I don't see the outdoor queue so maybe everything will be inside.
