    Best Counter Service

My parents and brother will be headed to Disneyland Paris for a one day (just Disneyland) stop next week. Can anyone suggest not to be missed counter service eateries? Good food is nice, but they are especially looking for the best themeing. Thanks!

My personal favourites are the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland - great rustic, barndance themeing, often with live music thrown in too. My other choice would be Au Chalet de la Marionette in Adventureland/Fantasyland - the only eatery in the park that crosses from one land into another. Its theme adapts as you move through the restaurant, from Alpine woodwork (Pinocchio) on the Fantasyland side, to a nautical shipwreck theme on the Adventureland side. In both cases, the food is usually at the upper end of the counter service theme park scale.

And for a quick snack or a drink, you can't beat the Cable Car Bake Shop on Main Street. Grab a nice secluded booth at the back. Super cozy!

Another vote for the Cable Car Bakery here! Great for that cup of coffee and sugar rush.

Cable car bakery is nice for snacks but bad coffee.

Last at visit I ate at pizzeria bella note and it was nice. Decor is over the top italian and the set menu wasn't bad.

be warned though lots of restaurants close early so make sure you plan ahead when to eat

Thanks much everyone! I've passed along the word so they can stop at all the best places later this week. Now it's just too bad they can't bring any of those bakery delights home as a souvenir for me...

Just bring your own food to the park. The restaurants close just when the need for food after a long day in the park is the greatest.

Partly agree with this. I've been to DLP twice and I was underwhelmed by the food (expensive and reheated). I ate at Fuente del Oro. I was way more satisfied by Earl of Sandwich at the Disney Village tham by anything I ate inside. Of course there are the buffets and Walts, but my budget was more like 15€ per meal than 35€+

Earl Of Sandwich is great in the states. Haven't tried it in Paris yet. I'll bring a sandwich with me into Disneyland the next time I am there.

I'll admit, I don't normally eat in the parks either.

Last time I went I ate at Annette's which wasn't too bad. The rest of the time I ate at the hotel. (Radisson)

So, restaurants start closing by 5pm? If so, I'll really have to make sure to be hungry by then so I don't miss out.

Also, are the sit-down places worth it? Like Walt's, for example?

I'm always surprised at how bad the food is at DLP, it's in France after all as Lumiere would say.

Perhaps it's that way on purpose as it represents the European view of American food!
