Is that capacity figure based on the standard MS coaster? Because don't forget the WDI modifications to layout and load will add capacity...

Seriously ... why can't they just inclose Mullholland Madness the rest of the way (It's nearly 1/4 of the way there already), put in some awesome theming and do this???

Thats always been my beef. They could take a rinky dink off the shelf coaster and make it amazing with the right effects and stuff.

As you can see on this Maurer Söhne technical specification, a standard SC2000 spinning roller coaster has a capacity of 900 people per hour.
    http://www.maurer-soehne.de/files/am...000_Lagoon.pdf

I found this 1000 pph capacity on Disney Central Plaza board, in this topic :
    http://disneycentralplaza.aceboard.f...-dans-mois.htm
La Rouquine is a Cast Member and seems to be well informed about this. But it's only a theorical capacity estimation, nothing is official at this moment. We'll have this technical information after the ride opening, in may/june 2007, I think !

It would not work the Mullholland Madness goes to fast. Also the ride does not spin so you would miss some theming along the way.

Maybe not DCA (since the theme just doesn't work) but hopefully in our third gate!

This ride is turning out a lot better than I was expecting. I thought it'd be another Gadget's Go Coaster type kiddie coaster. That track looks pretty big!

It doesn't. That land was a poorly thought out 'quick-fix' to satisfy the complaints that there aren't enough things for the young ones to do.

But to answer your question, it's more plausible to say that the film took place in some Californian ant hill than Finding Nemo's very specific location near the East Australian current, ay?
