La Rouquine is a Cast Member and seems to be well informed about this. But it's only a theorical capacity estimation, nothing is official at this moment. We'll have this technical information after the ride opening, in may/june 2007, I think !

It doesn't. That land was a poorly thought out 'quick-fix' to satisfy the complaints that there aren't enough things for the young ones to do.
But to answer your question, it's more plausible to say that the film took place in some Californian ant hill than Finding Nemo's very specific location near the East Australian current, ay?
