TDLFAN's report from DLP

Hi All..
Just got back from my quick visit to DLP and got to take some photos from around the parks.
It was a bit too cold.. but still, an enjoyable time was had. After all... this *IS* the most beautiful Kingdom in the land... Lots of contruction all over.. from the Promenade by Disney Village, and inside the Walt Disney Studios, where the most work is being done at this time... to some needed improvement inside DLP, but there is always room for more of that in there as well... Anyways... It was nice to hit the parks on a day when the crowds were non existant, and nothing had more than a few minutes wait time.
I also got to enjoy the Frontierland show.. "Mickey's Winter Wonderland" A very cute show itself..although I admit.. hearing Xmas songs in february is a bit odd. Still... nice show to check out when visiting during the winter months...

Thanks for another beautiful album of photos! Someday I'll see Disneyland Paris for real, but for now I'll settle through dreaming about it by looking at pictures. Man, that place looks absolutely stunning!

I really loved your pics of the Winter Wonderland show, Discoveryland, and the shot of Main Street facing the castle with a dark indigo sky as a backdrop.

Brilliant pics, but what the hell are the Jamboree bears doing in Paris!? As far as I know, the Jamboree was never an attraction in Paris. How would 99% of the audience be familiar with those characters otherwise?

But I'm nitpicking. The parks look like they are continuously improving. Yes, WDS is getting new attractions whereas DLP is getting mildew removal but still - both make their parks better. Loving it! And I couldn't see one burnt out bulb on Main Street or the DL Hotel - and believe me, I looked.

oh and P.S. loving the new snack and drink bars - how themed are they!? Bloody hell.

The Country Bears Jaboree bears hold no importance to the story here and the costumes are used mainly because Disney wanted bears in the show and it made sense to use designs you already own instead of creating new bear characters.But we should be happy its not Kenai and Koda or the show would be full of Phil Collins numbers.

Yes Speedway, they snack bars look great, did you also see the new themed drinks van on MSU, it's cool too.

I have a question, why are the Christmas Princess Chandaliers still up? Are they to be used in Candlabration (or what ever it's called) ?

Thanks for the photos. We are going there in a week just for one day. Any recommendations food, evening outside meals? Coming in by RER from Paris and leaving via TGV to the airport nothing reserved yet. Loooks like alot of const. going on. Looks cold too?

Did they change the entrance to Discoveryland again? When I was there there were the Devil's Postpile type rocks at the entrance, and waterfalls. I know when the park first opened, fire and flames shot up from the rocks around the water. By the time I got there, the fire had been turned off. Now it looks like just some shrubs and trees?
