    Reasons to go to DLPR.

I really want to ride Phantom Manor, but what else is there that is unique to DLPR and worth going there for? Indiana Jones roller coaster doesn't look that good and Space Mountain looks to be shorter than Rock and Roller Coaster from the video I watched off Youtube. There is a lot of exclusive TDLR stuff I want to see, but I don't know of that much DLRP stuff I want to see. That dragon in the castle's dungeon sounds cool though.

Cinemagique and Animagique are both well worth seeing and are exclusive to DLP.
    WDW - 1987 & 1991
    DLP - 1996, 2004, 2006 & 2007
    DLR - October 2011

Hmmmm, well almost all the e tickets are better at DLP in my opinion. But these would be the unique things:

    Liberty and Discovery Arcade
    Legends of he Wild West
    PM
    Keel Boats
    BTM on an island
Tarzan show - my fav Disney show anywhere
    Adventure Isle
    Indy
    Passage of Aladdin
    Advanced PotC
    Alice's Curious Labrynth
    Castle walk through inc Dragon
    a very plussed IASW
    Different take on Storybookland
Legend of the Lion King (more like the broadway show)
    Space Mountain Mission 2
    The Nautilus
    the 2 parades (inc. Fantillusion)

At the Studios - Crush, Cinemagique, Animagique, faster RNRC, better tram tour, Armageddon.

And don't forget the amazing Buffalo Bill's Wild West show in the Village.
Let's put the Walt back in Disney!

Pirates Of The Caribbean has some brilliant new set pieces (the upper fortress assault, arsenal explosion) and a great queue. Big Thunder Mountain has some really fun underground tunnel sections as well. There are also some really nice walkthrough attractions like La Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin, Adventure Isle and Les Mystères du Nautilus. Space Mountain Mission 2 is actually worth riding, although just a shadow of its fomer self.

EDIT- Beat me to most of those davewasbaloo

Architecturally, the park is stunning. The rides are fun too!

I think as far as Magic Kingdom parks are concerned you get a much more original product at DLRP. The castle, for example. As fas as second gates go, I know which I'd pick and there's no need to say. However nearly everything at DLRP offers something original and unique, sometimes a little, sometimes loads.

Haha, I have a feeling you may not find what you're looking for at DLP. If explosions and other thrills are what you seek, this place will most likely prove inadequate.

You visit DLP for the decor, I think. It is by far the most original, most thoroughly designed, most carefully laid out MK park Disney's ever built. But if you start counting fireballs...

    Why to go....

    • Phantom Manor
    • Space Mountain is amazing, and way better than Rock n Rollercoaster, and a very decent length ride. Better visuals and better thrills.
    • POTC - Genuine sword fighting pirates and better thrills and scenery, oh yeah
    • BTM -faster and longer
    • Immersive scenery and plenty of cool walkthroughs
    • cinemagique and Rock n Rollerocaster are amazing
    • Indiana Jones is unique to DLP (sort-of)
    • StoryBookland +casey jr. are great, and from videos I've seen, I'd say they're better than DL's.
    • IASW - best version
    • Adventure Isle
    • Best theming outside of Tokyo.
    • It's a magic kingdom style park, what's not to like!

I love a wide variety of rides and attractions, I was just curious about the POTC explosion. I love it when a park has good decor.

No, there's no real fire. The 'explosion' is just acheived by smoke and light effects. It's the second waterfall just after the burning town scene.

OMG... you are kidding, right? DLP is the most beautiful and different Disneyland park out there. Most everything has been redesigned and revised for this park, and even the classic rides like Pirates and Space are so unique, they MUST be experienced. There is so much that I love about DLP that I could not begin to advise you on... However, I will say this much: don't fall in the same mentality trap most americans fall when they go to Paris.. "We have Disney World in the USA, why bother going to DLP?? jada jada!!" Idiots! If they only knew what fabulous park they are missing... Once you have been to DLP, the MK at WDW will be nothing much to look forward to. I garranty that.

    GO! GO! GO! GO! GO!

Re: Reasons to go to DLPR.

I know! I think some Floridites (Floridites referring to basically frequenters at WDW including, say, British families that go every summer) or even californites can be very dismissive about DLRP as if it could only be either a copy or inferior to either the original or the biggest but it's something else entirely. Oh how it frustrates me when people overlook Paris (and condemn it on these forums for that matter)
