    Re: Main Street Electrical Parade

To me, the whole vibe of MSEP is sooooo 1980's! The awful synth music is like something from a John Carpenter movire circa 1979.

I have no qualms in welcoming back MSEP but it needs to ditch its mullet hair-do and the white jacket with the sleeves rolled up!

But that's what makes it wonderful! hehe. I wouldn't mind a change in music, I don't dislike the old music, but I don't think the parade would be lessened greatly if a decent alternative was brough in.

Looking for Dreamlights on the official TDL site shows it to be an updated MSEP featuring Nemo, Mosters Inc etc. It even has the same bloody irritating music!

Sigh... I thought you guys were more knowledgeable than this...

"Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights" is an updated version of the original MSEP that many of you so much love, or love to hate. It incorporate some of the most recognizable scenes from the old parade, and included new scenes and floats from newer Disney and Pixar movies of the 90s and from this decade so far. It's been playing long enough that revisions to the original parade have already occured. They have ditched some of the old Cinderella floats for newer ones, and ditched "Bug's Life"s floats for Nemo and Monsters Inc... all of these incorporating the very latest lighting effects not yet seen in any of the other electrical parades at the other parks (MK, DCA, DLP).

And for you Nathan ... The Baroque Hoedown music you find so irritating, you would be pleased to know that after the initial 5 or 6 floats, that music stops and the soundtrack changes to a more traditional orchestral form for the rest of the 19 floats... Maybe you should listen to the Official Dreamlights Show-Mix CD on sale all over Japan?

The official site only gives a little peek of the spectacle.. using only recognizable music and images to sell the parade to would be guests...

In my opinion, the Electrical Parade Dreamlights at Tokyo Disneyland is the most lavish and elaborate nighttime parade ever debuted at a Disney park; the floats are simply spectacular!

By the way, isn't the above what I said in the post before with less words and in a less patronising manner?
