Mais Oui! Brer rabbit and co are much more famous in Europe thanks to their thriving comic book careers. If anything, the characters can appear in Europe with much less stigma attached to them than in the US (Uncle Remus does not appear in the comics).

I think it's pretty much confirmed that Paris WILL get Splash Mountain, whatever the weather in Paris. Jay more or less said that and as previously stated, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper due to them just cloning the WDW Splash.

I Sooooo want a new Indy ride first though!

Splash is top of my list. I have waited 17 years (so far) to ride it* and can't wait!

*it was nearing completion when I was last in WDW back in 1990.

And it will be COMPLETELY worth it!

It and Tower of Terror are absolute masterpieces. They set the standard for marrying thrills, story and a completely immersive experience.

I'll never forget my first ride on Splash......getting mentally worked up (!) to tough it out and face the drop. Then, lo and behold! A 10/15 minute sail through funny, engaging show scenes. Imagineering at it's finest.

Re: We want Splash mountain! We want Splash mountain!

I was in WDW the year it opened, I can remember how amazing I thought it was, had to queue for hours at the time but was worth it, took a ride on it in the dark too which was even better! riding it at 10pm and getting drenched but that not being a problem as it was still hot enough to dry off in 5 mins!

I know this isn't quite on topic but does anyone think we will ever get an original E-ticket attraction again? I know Crush was a first for Paris but I'm talking major E-ticket here.

I hope so. I don't want to see a trend of directly clone attractions. I would hate for Space Mountain to be the last original attraction for Disneyland Paris.

Umm, Tarzan is ok IF they don't put those plastic figures there also. However, adventure island with Jack's hideaway would be neat.

Why when we look at E Tickets for Paris does everyone talk about Splash Mountain and not the Jungle Cruise.Don't forget most attractions Disney build now days are based on recent movies and whats Walt Disney Pictures considering putting into production the Jugle Cruise.

Because, a. apparently the weather makes it impossible (several people have mentioned this, at least) and b. even if they'd install that pimped Hong Kong version of the ride, it wouldn't be half as marketable as Splash, would it? It seems to me the Jungle Cruise is one of those rides that just needs to be there from day one, like Main Street or bathrooms. You can't just shoehorn it in after fifteen years. Even if Disney makes that Jungle Cruise movie, I don't think DLP is going to see the ride.

A Jungle Cruise movie? Oh dear. I hope its more POTC than HM.

And if we get a Jungle Cruise type ride I suspect it would be indoors and more along the lines of Dinosaur at AK.

Tokyo which often has extreme weather also has the Jungle Cruise.I really don't see why a new version of the Jungle Cruise would be a problem as all the foilege would react as shelter from the weather. Also I'm not sure if Disney are planning anymore Splash Mountain type attractions as Hong Kong Disneyland is currently looking at a new POTC attraction using a Splash Mountain type drop.I could easily see the new attraction being based on a new recent movie and not something thats been locked in the Disney vault for so many years.

Aha, I think as well as freezing one of the kay reasons Jungle Cruise was never built was that it relies alot on gags and the skipper and with seven nationalities in the boat that's a pretty bewildering ride for those who don't speak whatever language le cap does. Judging by all your reactions to my tastes I changed my signature hehe

if I could have a large scale E-ticket... splash wouldn't be on the top of my list.

Let me guess, Indy right? I think Adventureland is more in need of an E-Ticket than Frontierland definitely, and hopefully that E-Ticket would bring about a spot of freshening up for the slightly tired Adventureland (and hopefully a re-doing of Adventure Isle)
