Re: No Jungle Cruise at DLP?

Here's my cue to remind everyone of my idea to retheme Splash Mountain around The Jungle Book and stick it in Adventureland.

    All bases covered!

I also think they could do a good retheming of Splash Mountain around Emprers New Groove and a HUGE pyramid mountain which could also fit into that area

You know at one time there were plans to have the Indy ride and the Jungle Cruise to cross each other paths. How would you feel about a major make over and put both rides in?

I don't think it will ever make it's way to Paris. The ride used to be something special, but nowadays leans heavily on the sarcastic comments made bij the castmembers who drive the boat. With the language barrier in Paris, that will never stick....!

Not only that, but it would have included the coaster and the railroad as well. It would have been a multi-attraction experience, though it would have required a gigantic show building to house it all.

To be honest I just think the concept of riding around on a bot looking at fake animals has no appeal to visitors to DLRP at all whatsoever, especially with the castmember making comments in another language. It survives elsewhere simply because it's Jungle Cruise (and JC without language problems at that).

The one in Hong Kong has language issues. They have separate lines for different languages, but when I was there, the English speakers were either incomprehensible or of moderate Skipper quality.

What might be interesting at DLP would be two skippers per boat, one who speaks English and one French. I think it could be very interesting to watch them play off each other (even if you only speak one language), and it would be quite a different experience than any other Jungle Cruise...

What about the Dutch, Germans, Italians, Spanish, Greeks and so forth?

You'd have room for one pair of riders with 7 guides.

DLP don't really care about other languages. It tends to be French and English and the odd bit of German and that's about it. Most visitors seem to speak either English or French anyway.

Isn't the same problem that Jungle Cruise isn't in DLP, the same reason Splash Mountain won't probaly be seen in Paris?

Which is the reasoning of the cold weather in Paris. Outdoor water rides aparantly don't fit in DLP. And to add, I think the different Adventureland is what makes it unique, as said before.

And response to the MILF in Adventureland; wtf. MILF needs to get out of Tomorrowland, and make way for a futuristic attraction. I had an idea of an attraction in Magic Kingdom by Splash Mountain using the MILF technology. I'm sure most kids wold like to have their own Laughin Place after riding Splash Mountain. ;P

Storybookland and the Rivers of the Far West are both outdoor water rides.

Yes, but they don't have animatronics that are in actually in the water

Well as far as I know.

Out here in Los Angeles, people have heaters in their pools.

I suppose audioanimatronic Parisian elephants could do the same in their's.

Nah, we'll just wait for global warming to take care of the problem, thanks to Californians with their heated pools..
