WDS : Toon Studios Constructions will start soon !

The Constructions of the next Walt Disney Studios addition will start on August 26 so keep your eyes open from that date .

Toon Studios will includes 2 Rides : Crush's Turtle Twister a Roller Coaster Ride in the dark with some part outside . For those people who knows about the rides it will be a Spinning Wild mouse .

And a CARS theme Ride infront of the Nemo Ride . CARS would be a small ride like a similar Ride at DCA wich is spinning by a Figure 8 .

DLRP_bopazot, do you know if they leave any space for future Toon Studio's rides? I hope so because otherwise they are making a big mistake!!! There's so much more potential in the Toon Studio's then just one nice (offcourse Nemo!) and one really awful ride! DISNEY WE DONT WANT RIDES FROM DCA! Why 'save' a park with rides from a park that needs to be saved as well. It just doesn't make sence. Well I can go on and on but I rather tell that I'm happy with them starting the Nemo-ride

i'm sure the Nemo Ride will have an good effect for the WDS attendance but too high but still better till the opening of the Tower of Terror in 2008 .

I have got three questions....

1) did they take soaring out of DCA and put it in Florida for 18 months or did they send a replica of the ride to florida nad leave the original in DCA?

2) If the DCA attraction Soaring is in Florida, will it come back to DCA in 18 months or stay there?

3) Will this new toon studio themed area take over some area in tomorrowland or fantasy land in Disneyland?

But to anser your question, the Soarin' at WDW Florida is a replica of the one in DCA (although it is rumoured to be getting a new film next year).

It's funny though because when I saw you chatting about the tower of terror opening in the Disney Studios, I said to myself "I have no clue what they are talking about. Tower of Terror is already built in Disney Worlds MGM studios and in DCA, so what could they be talking about." Then after thinking a few minutes after I posted my first comment (the 3 questions about DCA) I realized that there was another Disney Studios in Paris. Then I said to myself "I hope I did not make a fool of myself by posting questions about Disneyland in California in a thread that is for Euro Disneyland." Then I scrolled up the page to see the thread title and I realized that I did. LOL.

Although WDS needs all the quality attractions it can get, I'll be happy if Toon Studios is a well themed, immersive environment with lots of opportunities to meet n greet!
Imagine Genie hanging around at Flying Carpets and other less common characters appearing without warning because they live/work there - cool!

I honestly feel that the proposed Toon Studio's is half hearted. I want it to be Toon Town, except 'at work', on steriods. Not two rides and a Mickey fountain.

You'll be glad to know that there is plenty of room for Toon Studios to expand, and this has been planned from the start. So although we'll only be starting with two new rides (possibly only one! The Cars ride might not be built immediately if the financial situation doesn't improve soon), the area is planned to double in size after a few years. Some other potential attractions are an Incredibles ride. This will be another spinner, with guests suspended from the arms of Symptom's Omnidroid. A friend of mine saw the concept artwork at the Cast Member meeting a few months ago, and he was very impressed. It's supposed to be very well themed.
As for meet 'n' greets, the area is going to be full of 'em!
There's even talk of a restaurant going into the area eventually - the Animator's Palette from the Disney cruise line. Keep those fingers crossed!

I work at Disneyland Resort Paris and the Walt Disney Studios.
After having seen the plans for this attraction, it looks good.

On paper, everything looks good....

Due to a history of bad management, financial disasters, voluntary redundancy programs,years of negative results, and many "bail outs" by the mother company (WDWC), DLRP is in a very sad state.

Falling attendance figures do not help either to increase profits.
SM : M2 is a relative failure.
Wishes - a disaster.

If DLRP continues down this once "yellow bricked" road, now turned brown, then drnilescrane is right about Toon Studios.

Except for one thing. The fountain is already in the WDS, in "Production Courtyard".

I love arctiecture as much as Mike Eisner, but for the love of God he was digging his own grave with the Hotels. Start with one. Build more as demand increases.

I agree nemo sounds good, cars sounds bad. But then again its probably a good one for the kids and if the kids are happy mum and dad are happy so may be more inclined to re-visit (not that im saying cars alone will do this but every little helps i guess)and at least they have allowed for expansion. one quick question its been a couple of years scince i went to paris so will this be the first addition to the studios??
