Oooh! I'm excited! I hope (like Jorvik the viking museum in York) it is presented in 'smell-o-rama'!

There's been an update over at Disney Central Plaza, and it doesn't look good - the tests aren't for a Ratatouille attraction but several smaller, work-in-progress projects which we could see arriving as early as next spring, and which are described as "not good news".

Well anyone expecting a big attraction just after the expensive TOT is just plain stupid. Even a park in a good fincial state would not even embark on another big attraction that soon, not along Paris with all it's troubles.

In 5-10 years, yes but not at the moment. The global recession is looming.

Well I don't think there is really a need to hurl insults.

This kind of thing has happened in Disney parks before and most recently with us receiving Crush/Cars followed by TOT so it IS possible. Whether it is likely to happen is another matter entirely. (unless TWDC decide to offer DLRP another big cheque based on the success of the 15th)

Rumours now suggest that the Ratatouille ride is being planned for the 2012/20th anniversary now anyway which is 4 years away. I would be suprised if that was the only attraction the resort receives for the anniversary, it's likely that the main park will get an E-ticket as well.

Investment doesn't just stop alltogether during a recession, you have to plan for the future.

Oh dear. Someone behind the scenes has just told me what's planned. And it's not good. Not good at all... Cheap and cheerful is the order of the day. Well, cheap at any rate.

Ah, the sound of hope shattering.

Meanwhile, the park already has a wild mouse-style coaster, so Primeval Whirl is out... The Finding Nemo musical wouldn't be met with such disappointment because it's actually quite nice... Dinosaur! is a clunker, but has EMV vehicles and would also not be met with such a reaction (I think)... TriceraTop Spin seems unlikely, because of Flying Carpets...

So hello collection of carnival games!

    Cheap and cheerful.

I will once again quote Critter Corral. we thought we were getting Splash Mountain and instead we got Woody's Round-up Photo Spot.

There's something I should clarify - when I said Dinoland USA, I was describing the general approach to theme and quality. I could just as easily have said "The cheaper parts of DCA on opening day". It wasn't meant as a forecast of the type of rides (or anything else) going in there.
