A Disney fan Lipdub video on DLRP's official blog!

Hello to all!

For these of you who don't know what a lipdub is, it's very simple : it consists of a group of people who sing a song in playback each at a time, and in which the camera is flying from singer to singer in a single shot. This project needs a lot of work and synchronicity from the performers and the cameraman. Many groups of people, friends or colleagues have already tried to make their own lipdub. Not all of them have the same quality, but the one made by the french fan forum Disney Gazette is just amazing!

So amazing that it was actually published by Disney on Disneyland Paris' official blog.

Now who will be next? The "Just like we dreamed it" lipdub was recorded in Paris' Main Street this month... Will there soon be an american lipdub recorded at Walt Disney World or Disneyland...?

That has to be one of the geekiest things I've ever seen, but the choreography is commendable, haha. Very cute.

And apparently they did this at 8 a.m. on a Sunday, which should account for the deserted vistas.

Really? I thought they all looked faintly embarrassed. Nevertheless, hats off to them - a lot of time and effort obviously went into that. And all in one take as well!

Perhaps a lot of wasted time and effort IMO - I really don't see the point. And I agree that some people in it do look rather embarrassed - still, anything to gain early access to the park eh?

Actually, they didn't do that in partnership with Disney. They were just regular guests that day, but they must have done it during the Extra Magic Hours on Sunday morning. You can see some other guests on Main Street, even though I'm surprised they weren't reacting more to this singing and dancing group.

According to what I've been told, lipdubs are mostly made to have your Company/group/forum talked about. They created a buzz around them and they had a great time doing it i suppose. That must be enough to justify this project

Perception is really subjective, isnt it. Given that Id guess most of those people dont have a performing background ( just a hunch..) I think they did great, and its not an easy thing to do to lipsynch and move at the same time. What you perceive to be embarrassment is more likely them trying hard to remember the lyrics and NOT fall down and get killed.
