Entertainment moving back in the right direction at DLP

Although still not like the 1st few years or other parks around the globe. It seems like DLP is going in the right direction with more live entertainment. To me growing up in Disneyland, live music is just as important as PotC or IASW.

Now we have the return of a Marching Band, Country Group, Dixieland, African Tam Tams and more.

Now if we could just have the barbershop quartet and rag time pianist back.

Re: Entertainment moving back in the right direction at DLP

It's getting repetitive, but I hear you. I have fond memories of the Dixieland band and the ragtime pianist at Casey's in particular -- That stuff made Main Street come alive. Of course, it also helps that the shops still sold the things their awnings read and that there wasn't always some event that needed to announce itself on every lamppost. I hate to sound like a Ned Flanders Republican, but it's true. So, good news.

But is this only for high season?

DLP should treat weekends like high season. Fireworks, more streetmosphere and parades..

Totally agree. It is a shame we have to go in the crowded summer just to get the entertainment that are standard offerings year round in other Disney resorts.

It was so good to see bands on Main Street and in Fantasyland, really made the place alive, and it was also quite funny to hear a brass band playing Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Quite bizarre...

Tokyo Disneyland is offering you eternal life and thousands of beautiful women and you'd settle for Disneyland Paris giving you a barbershop quartet on Main Street? This is exactly how Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World get away with such poor standards: lowered expectations.
