Disney-MGM Studios Europe - Why not just dig up old plans?

We all know WDS was a disgrace and a disaster upon opening, lacking even the charms of the pretty DCA. We also all know that the plans for Disney-MGM Europe were exciting and had potential. So why, I wonder, did Disney choose to ignore these plans? I mean, they didn't even do a version of them, apart from the front lot and Studio 1, a miniaturised version of the concept, why did they start afresh? Surely it would have been better to just dig up the old design and cut stuff out rather than a re-start that wasn't necessary. I know, I know, they were building on the cheap, but what was wrong with the original plans and why didn't they use them? The original plans weren't exactly for an absoloutely massive park. DCA cost $600m and it managed to at least have good theming (not a good theme, good theming) and some great features, yet let's be honest, DCA looks genuinely lavish comapred to WDS. Why start again?

Good question. No doubt it was "don't use those old things, go for something 'fresh and new'".

Still it surely won't hurt EDLI to dust them off again.

EDLI? Forgive my ignorance but, uh, what does that stand for? Euro Disney something?

wel i Disney could choose between having a small park and add new E Tickets to Disneyland Park . They would add new Big E Tickets to Disneyland .

But because it was signed with the french gouv they had to built it with No Money .

Re: Disney-MGM Studios Europe - Why not just dig up old plans?

yes because the DMGM Europe plans was still around and if you look at it you can see that Studios 1 , 2 and 3 was in the Original Plan but with a Giant Lake infront and in between the 2 Parks .

They took the Idea of the DMGM Studios Europe to built WDS but with a way smaller budget .

But as i said if we had DCA instead of the Studios with Pradise Pier and everything it would perfectly worked because French and Europeans dont know alot about California compare to Californians ihihihih .

Oh I see (I don't think it is). While DCA would have worked better, well, not build in its theme, I don't think Europeans would care for it either.
