 | Disney Once upon a Dream Parade float Accident ! yesterday on Sept 14 there was an accident during the Parade . The last float hit the side walk . | Re: Disney Once upon a Dream Parade float Accident ! This is why its not recomended you sit so near the edge of the curve. I love this parade and hope the damage to the float was minor, although it could of been much worst, I'm happy to hear no injuries were reported, mistakes like this shouldn't happen under any circumstance, and its a shame to see it happen here. |

| Re: Disney Once upon a Dream Parade float Accident ! OMG!!! I missed this!! I was at DLP on the 14th and had to leave just minutes before the parade was to start!!! Exactly what happened here? Based on those pics.. one float ran onto the curb?

| Re: Disney Once upon a Dream Parade float Accident ! No, it's at the very end of the parade route, just before the floats enter Backstage at the right near the entrance to the Discovery Arcade. And yes, it simple ran onto a curb. It's one of the largest and most difficult floats to operate since it's basically two sections turning independently like those extra long busses. The driver probably took the corner too wide, so the back part had a larger turning radius. It was noted on another forum that currently this float has been taken out of the parade for the time being, and the characters just walk along the route. The Beast is transformed into his human being version for this.
