French Gouv wants Formula One Race Track at Disney !

Now there is a political Discussion in France and they will vote for this Race Track very soon .

There is 3 Spots in Paris Suburb for a New Formula One Race Track . One of the spot is the Possible 3rd Park area between Disney Hotels and Non Disney Hotels .

French Gouvernment has already picked Disneyland Paris for their Favourite Spot. Nicolas Sarkozy is for Disneyland Paris because of the Hotels Capacity in the Area .

Decision to be made in October .

Oh God. NO!!! This is the same stupidity they did at WDW and serves no purpose.

This has been rumoured for a little while...

Bad idea, I say. At least at WDW the parks would be insulated from the sound. That will not be the case at DLP.

I know this is going to sound elitist, but I hate to think what sort of people this would attract to the resort. Loud, boisterous men, mainly. Who bring their own beer.

I've never been to DLP, but I know this would be a bad idea. I would hate to have to hear the races while trying to enjoy a day in the park. Ugh!

Oh you mean.. like the ones who have been coming to WDW since they placed that trailer park trash racetrack by the Gas station?

BTW.... WDW parks are not that isolated from the noise that can emanate from the racetrack... on any given day, when the winds are blowing in any park's direction, you CAN hear the noise of that Richard Petty Experience... or whatever it's called.

Well, yes, although somehow it seems less offensive at Walt Disney World, mainly because it has all that space and its clientele doesn't seem as susceptible to mood swings. Catch Disneyland Paris on a bad day (soccer championships, certain holidays, etc.) and it's like being at Monster Jam.

I'm sure there's a place in society for this sort of thing. And I'm sure NASCAR and the like have their civilized fans. I just think Disneyland Paris' third park spot isn't the best place for it.
