Makes the Paris version seem pretty snazzy, non?
That's pretty chessy !

That pretty much sums up what WDW is overall about. And trust me, I am not kidding. I don't think european realize how good DLP really is as a quality disney park, hence the lack of appreciation.

Agreed. WDW is a totally overrated experience. DLP may be smaller, but I would rather be in DLP than WDW. I love Epcot and DAK, but our MK is better than FLa's, and I actually prefer the attractions in our Studios.

Re: Your opinion on Phantom Manor

The setting and surroundings for PM really add to the experience. When the park opened in 1992 and Vincent Price played the part of the ghost host, the ride was simply fantastic. I like all the other Haunted Mansions, but I have yet to see the refurbished WDW version and any of the holiday overlays.

Personally, I think you should skip Paris for some other time and head to Tokyo Disney Resort like FAST!! At least there you get a great MK park and a fabulous 2nd gate, unlike the case in Paris.

Still, it would be nice to go to both. Is HKDL good at all (sorry to stray off topic)

HKDL is on it's way to becoming a great Disney park. Just need more time to grow and develop.

For attractions not really, but its still a fantastic little park, with enough to do for a full day out from Hong Kong. The standards and overall quality are up there with the best Disney parks and like TDLFAN states it will only improve on this over time.

Well... let's clarify. The attractions at HKDL are as top notch as the ones at any other Disney park, and their live shows are excellent. However, the park's line up is short on attractions and that is a problem with many people and Disney knows it. Expect an announcement about a new Haunted mansion heading to HKDL soon... and this one, may have the potential to be the best one yet.. just like their IASW ride is one of the best versions.

No, hang on. I've just checked - this is the DLP forum after all.

Re: Your opinion on Phantom Manor

They really need to replace or fix all the animatronics, since The Haunted Mansio at other parks are getting more attention.

Yeah, I found PM to generally be a little cheesy and rundown. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why people over the years have gone on and on about how great it is. At the very least it needs a long, serious rehab to bring it up to Disney standards. Didn't begin to compare to the DL and MK Haunted Mansions based on what I saw in May this year.

It is very ambitious, but perhaps too ambitious for the money and technology they were working with.

Re: Your opinion on Phantom Manor

I think it's as simple as: Phantom Manor is a way better ride conceptually, muscially etc. the HM's are in an infinitely better state therefore currently, sadly, better, *sheds a tear for PM*
