If there's one thing that loaloa55's pictures show, it's that DLRP doesn't have the weather for an outdoor water-ride!

Splash Mountain would be nice but I agree that the weather would make a water ride a silly addition to DLP (less the for the water on the ride and more for the water that will get on the guests. Guesticles if you will)

I do not think that weather would be a reason not to have a water based attraction. It would not surprise me if they did want a water flume ride for the park. They could easily shcedule rhabs during the winter for the attraction and still be able to operate the attraction the rest of the year.

Japan Disneyland has a Splash mountain and they also get some very cold weather.

It is literally freezing in Paris from October to April. I can't see them building a ride that will need to be closed for half of the year.

Saying that, Legoland Windsor has a flume ride and makes available one of those giant dryers which you can stand in (at an additional cost of course!)

Beware of coming "water" attractions. This is how HKDL shoved UFO Zone down our throats in their Tomorrowland.

Technically speaking, isn't a Discoverland bathroom of the future a water attraction?

Problem is, all bathrooms in DLP's Discoveryland are 1992 style.

Perhaps Disney can shoehorn a stall of the future into one of them.

Seriously, I've heard that a Western River themed Splash Mountain is under consideration for Paris.

That would be lovely but considering the cold weather in the winter, I would much rather they did ride in a mostly indoor setting and without minimal splashing, if at all.

It is just one of the possibilities. Another one is the long awaited Indiana Jones ride. Which I really hope for, as for Adventureland really needs an E-ticket. Especially in the Temple du Peril corner of Adventureland. It's kind of dead space over there.

However the mentioned Western edition of Splash Mountain is unique (The Indy ride not anymore). Hopefully it is based on the old Western ride which never made it to any park.

Now THAT would be a superb addition to Disneyland Park. I would absolutely love to see that happen.

Sadly I'm struggling to believe this rumour though. The plans for the next few years is just toons, Pixar, and thrill rides, and this is the first I've heard of something different.

I'll believe it when I see it...
