Phantom Manor gets Floating Leota !

Shame on you people! Flash photography is NOT allowed inside the Manor. Ghosts are scared of bright lights! No wonder nothing works in there.

*Sheesh!* At least our old version of the Haunted Mansion at TDL still looks in pristine condition and everything works on cue.

Agreed and while its not had the upgrades that the one at the Magic Kingdom currently has, I would much rather ride a version with all the effects working. Its not the end of the world if Phantom Manor doesn't have a floating Leota, as I would much rather see a full working attraction. However this being DLRP its only a matter of time before effects stop working.

I actually *prefer* a NON-floating Leota. The last time I was at Disneyland Anaheim the floating wasn't working and I was happy

It may just be nostalgia, but somehow the floating just seems off to me.

That all said, I haven't been on Paris's version yet, as my recent trip unfortunately coincided with the refurbishment.

The floating effect is just a nice little gimmick; it doesn't add anything to the ride except a fun little novelty for, you know, the sort of people who sing along with everything (there really is no reason to.)

(Although if she had levitated since the beginning and they had suddenly chained her to the table, all Hell would break loose. But that's neither here nor there.)

So I don't mind that either... But Parisian Leota really needed an update. I love the Haunted Mansions' versions, for both the technological aspect and the unsurpassable combination of Leota Toombs, Leota Toombs's enormous 1960s eyelashes and the voice of Eleanor Audley (also Maleficent.) It just makes me laugh.

But while even Phantom Manor was never going to raise those two women from the dead for its projection footage, and their replacement actress is probably here to stay, it would be awfully nice if she at least looked as bright and realistic.

The Phantom Manor picture is digital artwork, obviously, as it was impossible to take a good picture of her old dimly-lit self. Although it's apparently no picnic with her new incarnation either (a week has passed and not ONE good picture or video of her new face!)

What I'm trying to say is, I guess I'll have to go down there and capture her on video myself.

Well if all the AAs are working that's a start......and a rarity......what about the chemisty transformy guy, does he work now? Heck, do any bits of Phantom Canyon work now? Oh my hopes are getting too high

I'm not that big of a fan of Floating Leota either. The strings are just too obvious (referring to Anaheim in my case).
Question: Didn't Phantom Manor open with the table swaying, which was later copied in Anaheim? If so, is that effect still working at least?
