You are in for a real treat, decor wise, I would say Walt's is the finest restaurant in a MK style park (though food and service can be somewhat hit and miss). But Walt's is like dining in the Disney Gallery or One Man's Dream. A real treat for true Disney fans (look out for the real inspiration for the AA's downstairs).

Harrington's is across the street with the Glass Blowers, granted it is not as adult collectable as it used to be, but it is still cool. BTW it get's it's name from Pollyanna's Rich Aunt Mrs Harrington.

And the barber shop is very cool. The MK's is fun and aimed at kids. The DLP one is a proper pampering for men.

DLP I would argue is far more adult orientated than the MK in WDW, and almost on par with DL (though we can have wine in our park!!!)

I don't know, my kids adore Walt's (age 3 and 5).

As for the attraction, the number of attractions with height restrictions to not allow kids on is a far higher ratio than any other Disney resort. We also have the highest numbers of inversions in the Disney empire.

My nephew is 4 and would much prefer Pizza Planet (but I haven't takn him yet so can't say for certain).

As I said, I haven't taken any kids so height restrictions haven't been a problem for me, what I meant mainly was that as an Adult I can do everything, there is nothing just for kids really.

Well my kids love Pizza Planet too (though it is rarely open).

The kids only attractions are the Pocahantas playground and the Pirate Beach playground. But in my opinion, there should be NO kid only attractions (and no adult only attractions either).

The menu does tend to change, but I recommend the clam chowder, the steak/fish or 4 cheese tortellini (burger is very popular, but sacrelidge), and whatever appeals on the desert menu, but the cafe gormand is a great deal with a taste of several desserts.

I always tend to go for the Beaujolais - a cheap red that is most quafable (I shall miss the DLP 15th Anniversary wine).

Bon Apetit!

Re: Toy Storyland or Playland in the Studios - Construction started !

I found the initial discussion that Disneyland Paris would be more kid oriented to be quite interesting--since that was the exact OPPOSITE impression as I got in my visit. Granted we were there on a weekday during winter, but we were literally amazed at the relative lack of children compared to Disneyland Anaheim (at which I've also been on a weekday in winter)!

First, we didn't see a single kid--only adult couples--in our hotel (we stayed at the Holiday Inn) and even on the shuttle bus, we saw only a couple families. Once we got into the park, it seemed to be almost exclusively teenaged Brits. With all the inversions, availability of alcohol, and just overall level of sophistication throughout--it just felt more adult oriented. It would be interesting to compare at summertime.

In the end, though, I think all the Disney parks do a pretty good job of balancing out having attractions that appeal to young and old alike.

Re: Toy Storyland or Playland in the Studios - Construction started !

On a slightly different tack (but sticking with the ongoing construction in the Studios Park), the good folks over at dlrptoday.com have posted this fantastic retrospective of our Second Gate: Remember… The Second Gate? | DLRP Today - Disneyland Resort Paris news, updates and magic everyday! (EuroDisney) (Disneyland Paris)

It shows that, while the park may still have a long way to go, it's come on leaps and bounds since 2002!

Nice article, and nice final photo, I thought that was an artist's impression at first but I think it's real. If only all of it was like that. There's still time...not for Toy Storyland though...

It is real... The lighting people really did an epic job for the grand opening, didn't they?

Nice article, by the way. It's good to look back and count your blessings, even though the park still has a long, long way to go.

Is that really the name? Toy Storyland? What happened to the "Play?" Was it not sufficiently bland for the park?

I hope it was in one of the hotels and not the park

Indeed.
