Toy Storyland or Playland in the Studios - Construction started !

That's it Tram Tour Behind the Magic will never be the same . All trams are now using the Detour in the forest without passing next to the Costuming Building .

The whole area is actually surrounded by walls and its HUGE and goes way behind the Costuming building . They might prepare the area for Ratatouille as well ?

So is Disneyland Paris becoming the Legoland of Dinsey Parks, it seems that all the new additions since the park opened(except for Tower) have been mainly aimed at kids.

unfortunately the ratio of kids to adult disney fans visiting the parks is more unbalanced in europe.

If its gets bums on seats (or through the turnstiles) then go for it. Well, so long as its not too gaudy and ruins what little theme WDS has.

Good news Bopazot.. pics?
I wonder if OLC will ship the Jolly Trolley (since it's closing permanently at TDL next month) and shipping it to the WDSP?

How so? Because I do not see a difference in the ratio of kids versus adults at DLP versus the other Disney resorts world wide.

Re: Toy Storyland or Playland in the Studios - Construction started !

just the impression i get from miceage and other sites like this. unless there is a huge DLP fan site that i'm missing.

the adults at DLP are there cos of their kids not the other way around. in america adults take their kids cos they went there when they were young.
at least that's the feeling i get.

not sure if i'm right on this next point but it also feels that in DLR and WDW there are loads of things to do and see based on the history of disney and the place itself with more geek related shops too.

obviously DLP is still young and that history is not there, but more stuff on walt and company would attract more 'fans'.

Clearly Sgt Tibs has not dined at Walt's, shopped at Harrington's or had a straight razor shave in Main St.

I think in the UK you could be right, but in Europe, I know lot's of childless folks that go.

Yeah, there's actually loads of things for adults at DLP. The increasing number of toons seem to be making adults (at least in Britain) less interested in visiting though.

And given that there are now more over 65's than under 18's in Europe, that is really stupid.

Re: Toy Storyland or Playland in the Studios - Construction started !

Of my 52 trips to DLP, only 17 have been with Children (also honeymooned in WDW and tried to conceive 1st born at DL in California). I do not think I am alone. But it was never the toons or fair ground rides that encouraged me to go.

Re: Toy Storyland or Playland in the Studios - Construction started !

The only time I have been to Disneyland Paris with children was when I was 13 and went with my parents and younger brother.
I love the toons, the parades and everything but the main thing I love is how much effort they have put into it all. It seems a bit like a converted sawmill when you are queueing for Big Thunder Mountain, in UK theme parks I have been to it would be a corregated iron shed to queue in.
Children wouldn't notice that kind of thing and I think Disneyland caters well to both children and adults without children.

Kids rides have a greater appeal I guess as adults aren't dissalowed. Am I right in thinking adults can do any attraction at Disneyland Paris? I know last time I went my friends loved riding on Dumbo and the flying carpets, I really like the Storybook boat ride.

I have been to Walt's and it was great, very well themed and probably of little interest to kiddies.
