Those banners are hideous! I actually prefer the 15th ones. These are soooo cartoony and feel out of place on Main Street. They could have at least given them a turn-of-the-century look and feel. I just can't imagine why they feel the need to have so many of them--especially when they are advertising something that they don't need to advertise once you enter the turnstiles and are inside the park!

The decoration on the castle is a new low for DLRP as far as I'm concerned. Unbelievable.

Oh dear. Those new decorations are hardly an improvement, are they. Here's hoping Mickey's Magical Party doesn't get extended until the 20th Anniversary.

i'm sure it will because Toy Story Playland at the Studios is supposed to open next year .

The banners on Main Street are horrible. The castle decor is horrible.
Could someone over there please be fired?

And Davewasbaloo.. I agree with you.

Maybe they should have followed the HKDL example and do the very minimal "Star Guest" event decor as it would have been better for DLP.

I do like the Magical Party teeshirts though...

Ermmm.. well at least they've reinstated Tink on the top spire. Not that she'll be noticed over that hideously tacky monstrosity slapped above the door.

TBH, I didn't really mind the banners and stuff for the 15th anniversary, but these look real bad

It's a shame they don't spend just a tiny bit more time on something that will be up for (probably) more than a year.

Quick update from today :

Guess what Castle gets a new Overlay again

A Giant Mickey ugly thing was there for the press event .

The party has almost started everywhere even on Main Street .

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but i forgot my camera at home .

The castle is beautiful as it is, that junk is really unnecessary and out of place.

I think they should leave the castle alone. they can decorate other things, The balloons and other things on the Emporium don't look too bad, I think the big Mickey head with characters on should go near the entrance or something.

I have seen it normal, but it took another 5 years. I saw the 15th Anniversary version the last two times and guess I will see the Mickey's party version next time.

For me the worst are those persistent banners flanking Main Street. They ruin the best Main Street vista Disney ever created.
