I find POTC good but after a couple of rides I've had enough (I know many will feel otherwise). PM has more repeat appeal but the on-going faults and problems there mar the experience for me. Star Tours is showing its age and although I like RnRC its hardly something I would do a lot (although I did do it three times in quick succession one day at park closing - not a good idea in retrospect). Crush is good too but hardly worth the long wait and I am sad to say that I have yet to experience ToT.
Whoa dude, Star Tours may be showing its age but that never gets old!!! TOT?... You need to get on the roll and experience that one, its so much fun!!!! POTC, thats my all time fav right next to the matterhorn!

Nathon is correct that StarTours at each of the parks is dated. However you are right Bo, that the ride never ceases to be fun...and fresh to people that haven't experienced it before.

Aye the queue is wonderfully themed I think, everything is great apart from the vid needs updating and the terrible arcade at the exit. Tacky!

The movie is dated. The picture and sound is not that great. The movie had scratches ALL over it, looong never ending lines made of the thing that makes a scratch. The guy at the end of the movie uses a phone... with a cord...

The seats are torn and some have big holes in them. They look like something that have spent a summer or two in a dump under the sun.

The effects in the cabin are not that awesome. I am not sure if they ever were but anyway...

There are alot of things that need to changed. The movie that plays in the bakground in the room with c3po and r2d2 looks old and shaky. I guess they donīt use HD screens in space and TOMORROWlandThe theme of cue just before one enters the ride is... almost not themed at all.

I know the ride is old and I do like it. I am huge fan of star wars... but it is time for it to go.

Of course... TDL's Star Tours still has the best pre-show and post show queue, and the movie is still in great condition, not to mention the ride simulators are still well maintained.

TDL and Disneyland both have tons to look forward to when Lucas and Disney remake the ride with an all new storyline, effects and current multi-sensory technology that pops!

Of course... :S It needs a re-vamp but I think only the ride itself. I think the queue/loading area etc. is great, just not the arcade and the tacky 'May the force be with you' sign.

I hope they don't change the queueing area. It is so well themed that it seems a shame to just walk through it (I go when it is so quiet that Star Tours is a walk on every time!)
The arcade at the end is awful. I have vague memories of what was there before but it is a shame to just see computer games there. I'd rather the shop was moved in there.

How about a sign that reads, Become A Part of the Rein-forced Adventure.

Like the two of you, i have no desire to see the queue changed for DLP's StarTours. Although I havn't seen it, my rationale is that I desire for the queues not to be clones of eachother. Since you are both satisfied with yours fizzog and fiyero, I say let it stand. Disneyland has a wonderful queue, as well. In spite of this, I'm ready for something fresh, exciting, different, and more technologically advanced. Let the imagineers have a field day while the creativity and cash are flowing!

I think a replacement for Star Tours would be a good thing. Make Star Tours II with HD video, newer physical effects and a different storyline. But keep it along the same lines (taking a flight somewhere) so that the queue line is the same, everything could be the same until the boarding gate. then have the ride come out into a full-on Star Wars shop where the arcade is.

Great ideas one and all. The current StarTours queue would support virtually any new change in storyline and technology for the ride. Hope Paris gets HD screens (and 3-D depth projection), changing ride sequences (so that the rides are not all complete repeats of eachother), space debris that comes crashing thru your cabin...and much more in the way of awesome makeover upgrades.

I didn't think of 3D. I have only done 3D on a static screen with a moving ride at Futuroscope, not sure how it works if the screen is on the vehicle (like the current Star Tours).
An element of randomness would be cool but they would all have to be great films otherwise you could feel you are missing out when they have an uneventful flight to Endor!
