New Starbucks in the Disney Village!

With less than a month until the new Starbucks franchise opens for business, the new-look facade has started to emerge from beneath the scaffolding:



It's quite a change from the old Buffallo Trading Co. facade, but I quite like it. It's fresh, it's modern and it's not totally at odds with the Disney Village aesthetic (if there is such a thing). Roll on those double espressos!

I see no problem with Starbucks arriving, only like McDonald's or anything else, but what has become of the Buffalo Trading Co.?

I am very much in favour of Starbucks coming to Disney Village. I have only ever had one nice coffee in all my visits to Disneyland Paris and that was in the Hotel Disneyland. It also looks like they are putting some effort into the theming of the the building so hopefully it will fit in well.
As Fizzog said it is no more commercial than McDonalds or even Planet Hollywood.

i don´t know starbucks at france but in germany it´s one of the best coffee you
wil get.

so the building looks really good right now, to bad the buffalo trading co. is gone,
it was such a beautifull shop....

I think it's looking quite swanky, very hip, very now, very jiggy with it. Which is a nice change from all the misguided crap that has been coming to Disney Village these past two decades. And it also doesn't totally ignore Frank Gehry's designs.

Also, as nice as the Buffalo Bill Trading Co. was, from the outside it was a box with two tiny holes in it. They've opened up the entrance and given the building a little architectural interest.

I wonder if the staff smiles at French Starbucks locations? They were very friendly in Spain, where, like in France, there isn't a "have a nice day" tradition.

But what's with the giant Chex on the right half of the building?

I guess there are plen'y of Wild West shops, was a nice shop though.

I loved the interior, but wasn't wild about the giant stetson and headdress adorning the entrance.

Thanks for the new photos, Baby-T! The new facade really does make the most of the original Frank Ghery design, whilst looking fairly sleek and new. Perhaps this wooden motif could be extended to the rest of the Village?

When I saw it in real life last week, I really do not think it will age well at all. A real mistep that is bound to prove popular.
