Re: 2012 : Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary ?

And we though Crush was a family ride until it opened.

Yes Ratatouille is a great movie but as with Hathaway, I somehow am not in the least excited about the ride. Has DLP at last disappointed me so many times that I no longer believe in them?!

I don't know what to expect from a trackless ratatouille ride. I understand roller coasters and knowing that there would be a finding nemo roller coaster I could kind of guess what the ride would be. I knew what ToT would be as it existed elsewhere.
I am not sure what a trackless ride is!

A very reasonable point. The only trackless ride I've been on is Aquatopia in Tokyo DisneySea - a relatively simple, open-air experience but great fun nevertheless. It really was terrific not knowing which way you're going to head next. I'm told that Pooh's Hunny Hunt (the original trackless ride) is ten times better. Does anyone have a video they'd care to share?

Plucked this from YouTube. It actually looks quite nice (not sure about the music though!)

Re: 2012 : Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary ?

Ratatouille was a big hit Worldwide for Disney making twice the amount it made in the States. The movie made almost $415 million in international markets. Three of the bigest markets for this movie was France, UK, and Spain. All big markets for DLRP, so I think it makes sense to use Ratatouille for the theme to this attraction. Seeing that there was a strong rumour a few months back that the Studios was going to get a clone of Toy Story Mania, I think a Rataouille dark ride is a great alternative.

Yeah that music track is awful.

Nice ride, if only Rataouille could look as detailed as that, which I doubt. Although it will be well done, I can't see EuroDisney spending out like OLC.

IT IS!!! Why does nobody believe me...lol. I honestly testify that Crush is the smoothest, most floaty coaster I've ever been on. I don't see how it can be seen as intense or nauseating :S Apologies for my anger on the topic.

Re: 2012 : Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary ?

I've seen several kids coming out from Crush's Coaster crying.. though it might had broke after 1 hour in queue. That made me cry. :-P Anyhow my wife tought the ride was not suitable for small children.

From what I remember of the track it doesn't look overly family friendly.

I'm sure Ratatouille will be though, apart from the inevitable scary moment with Skinner.

NDJnr loved Crush but he's a speed-freak! It was I who was rather nauseated by it!

Re: 2012 : Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary ?

Thanks a lot for the video, Mr Detroit! (Although I see what you mean about the music track - odd choice). I'd love to see a Ratatouille ride on this scale in the Studios. It's also great that they plan on putting that awkwardly positioned Costuming building to better use.

Forget about the behind the scene tour of DLP's Cast Members wardrobe because the route that the tram used is where the Ratatouille building will be .

Re: 2012 : Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary ?

I agree on the fact that it would be nice to move Buzz to the Studios and turn Toon Studio in some Pixar Place/Studio/land. And place it in the Toy Story playland (like a big spaceship-toy-thing as show-building?) + a TSMM themed around MORE toys??

And the Ratatouille ride sounds really nice for this "new" Pixar-land.

Than Discovery-land could be the DISCOVERY-land it was supposed to be. And in the place of Buzz could be an updated Le Vis. Or a Discovery-land-style Soaring?? (Flying over a Discovery-land-style Paris??) And do something about the new space mountain (the old one was so good!)

Then for the 20th I would really really love to see the Mermaid ride the had in mind after the park opened (I love TLM and that ride looked so cool) And clean up the park, serius I was so pissed when I was there and people randomly droped there trash! Of course a Indi or Spash Mountain are also very welcome!
