Disneyland Resort Paris Third Gate

If you have been given the chance to build a theme park or a water park (like lava lagoon), what would you build? Would you prefer to have a water park? or a theme park? Disneyland Resort Paris has lots of room to build anything, big or small. Any big ideas?

A water park at DLP would obviously have to be indoors. That's ok I suppose but I have great memories of Typhoon Lagoon and an indoor water park just wouldn't be the same.

As for a third theme park - I have no idea what theme it could be!

They could do a miniature EPCOT? That would be cool.

i think they should do a new theme park about the history, legends and myth of the world. it would be a lot of material for new unique rides, shows and new storys and maybe a new franchize too who knows.. but this park need to have the best quality in everything.

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris Third Gate

Need I remind anyone of 'Parc la Monde'...that was a good theme...I have too much time...anyhoo, if they made that decision right now it would be obvious, based on the old proverb: "Don't build another flippin' theme park before you've fixed your current ones!". Definitely Water Park. But better to spend the money on improving WDS (and by 'improving' I don't, of course, mean bastardizing the shaky theme).

There's so much WDI could do with a blank canvas for a third gate. They just need the blank cheque to do it.

I'd prefer a theme park, but a water park would be great too. Lava Lagoon looked awesome. If we got that, I honestly wouldn't mind at all.

A theme park would work better. As previously stated, because of the weather conditions in France, they would have to build a water park indoors, and I don't see that happening for cost reasons.

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris Third Gate

I am a fan of Lava Lagoon concept. Finaly I could go to DLP without being worried about weather.

That would be one of the greatest days imagineer history, comparable to when they were designing DisneySea.

I would like to see a Lava Lagoon be built their. It would be a great and unique water park experience.

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris Third Gate

Well isn't it required that DLP builds a water park by 2017 and a themepark by 2030?

I remember when the F1 track was on the cards it was mentioned that they had to start feasability studies by a certain date (2012?) so I guess 2017 wouldn't be far off if they completed the study in '12 and opened in '16-'17.
