Disneyland Park at night...I'm seeing potential problems...

Say I want to stay til late but don't want to see the parade/fireworks. Brilliant, the park's gorgeous at night and a small but good selection of attractions are still open. But, I have a nasty feeling that negociating your way through angry parade crowds and all sorts of other problems that arise from that is a nightmare. Any advice?

Yes. When the last shell is fired, start dashing toward one of the Main Street arcades. Don't stop running until you've reached Disney Village, haha. The masses won't start their excruciatingly slow version of a stampede until they're sure the fireworks are over.

You'll be fine if you stick to the West side or Discoveryland. Don't think about crossing the parade route. If you do need to cross the park use the railroad.

By the way I've been wondering how they'll still run the fireworks and Fantillusion at the end of August now they've decided to close the park at 10.00pm. It just isn't dark enough for these shows before then. I know because this is when I usually visit. My guess: they'll shut down the park at 10.00 apart from Main Street and the hub and go ahead with the fireworks and fantillusionn at the usual times.

Certainly don't count on the arcade 'rat runs'. The great unwashed masses seem to have discovered those now and they don't really offer a fast alternative any more.

Well surely the solution is to hit the arcades before the last shell is fired, if one can even reach them. Hmm... What about attractions then? Would I have to pick either Frontier or Discovery or what?

Yes you would, but there is more to do in Discoverland at night time than in Frontierland. And they close BTM at about 10.45pm

I once did Orbitron during the fireworks. It was nice.

Would have been better if it wasn't for that pesky eye-sore known as Buzz!

Well, as has been disappointingly said only Buzz, SM and BTM are open late. What time do the others close I wonder?
