World of Disney at Disneyland Paris !

On the french Disneyland Paris Board someone posted the first sketch of what the famous World of Disney will look like .

looks great, but if it is going to work as well as the American ones, they need to have some stock actually worth buying.

Agree Dave, the store will not work if its going to stock the usual High School Musical and other consumer product crap. Merchandise needs a massive change in direction, more unique items, and I'd rather see less items with just one theme.

Next to Gaumont, in that hole with the semipermanent fences around it. So it will cover up that enormous, ugly wall as well.

yeah that would be a great addition to Disney Village . But then my wish is that Disney get their rights at the area around the train station and then they'll be able to kick the illegal vendors out .

That's the proposed extension to the RER station, to cope with the increased capacity brought by the new Strasbourg main line.

Surely you mean a TGV line?

[edit] Ah, I see they're indeed building a new "Ligne à Grande Vitesse" to Strasbourg. So what would this mean for the Marne-la-Vallée station? Are there any concrete plans? Although I'm sure Disney isn't too happy about yet another government-inflicted building in the middle of their property. But the street vendors will be delighted.

Well, you did say RER station, haha. Yes, I am stupid enough to momentarily envision the RER expanded halfway into Germany.

It just seems a bit much. Two enormous stations on either side of the square (if we are to believe the scale model.) Is the Marne-la-Vallée station slated to be this huge hub where people will switch from the LGV Est to the other LGVs or something to that extent?

Well, sort of. The new building would actually be an additional entrance (plus facilities) for the station platforms that already exist below ground. It would help cope with the extra capacity.

That's exactly the plan. Marne-La-Vallée is already one of the largest high-speed rail hubs in Europe (I think it already sees more traffic that the Gare du Nord in Paris).
