Part 1 in our series: "It's new, but I don't hate it"

Thanks to Joel and DLRP.fr, we get to be updated on all the nitpicky little happenings around Disneyland Paris. And thankfully, since that new CEO of theirs a lot of these are actually quite commendable.

I say we should stimulate this while we can and flood City Hall with compliments. It's like child psychology, you know? The more you say its doodles are great, the more zealous it gets and before you know it you're raising Leonardo DaVinci. I say this with a degree in psychology* of course.
But seriously, have a look:

First of all, DLRP's newfound habit of pimping their scaffoldings knows no end:

It's almost nicer than without the scaffoldings, isn't it? More importantly, the Disney characters actually look like Disney characters. Which is something this park hasn't known since 1995 or so (not to take away from the popularity of "Zazu-type bird" and "Donald-like duck" of course).

Second of all, a brand new tip board has been installed. It provides live feed of wait times via well-hidden flat screen TVs and all the details of classic Disney.

The Studios also got one, which isn't quite as high-tech but nevertheless looked quite nice before the Disneyland Park out-blinged it (typical sibling behaviour):

Then there's the new chuck wagon going around Frontierland:

Along with a bunch of minor paint jobs, that's about it. But nice, no? Oh and there won't actually be a series. I was just feeling reporter-like in the manner of a slightly less grey Anderson Cooper reporting on a slightly more frivolous subject than usual. And without the, you know, bullets all around.

But really, pay City Hall a visit.

*or as we called it, graphic design.

Thanks for the update - it's great to find all this stuff in one (Engilsh-speaking) place. Bring on a whole-series!

Yeah that wagon is a bit odd looking, but still a nice touch. I like the new photos places have up of the new things going into WDS, like the Monsters Inc door like they have in MGM, its nice to have plussings going on.

I think the wagon's an import from the Davy Crockett Ranch, which might explain why it's themed, but not theme-park-style themed. It kind of looks like something they have at a local petting zoo to keep kids busy while the parents go off and smoke, not something made by a group of people who are paid to do this sort of thing.

Indeed the wagon looks a little sad. It'll be better off just standing somewhere (not DLP). I think pussnboots is right about the origin of the wagon. But I don't think it'll bother us for long. I mean it looks like it's going to fall apart any moment!

I like it for WDS, it is it near Toon Studios, if so will we be seeing a Mike & Sully to the Rescue! here soon? Well I like the little improvements .

I am especially fascinated with the new wait times display, combining classic with modern, it elminates having to change the letters via radio and could be a more correct estimate, I hope to see it at DL maybe or DCA's new entrance.
