Anything here worth seeing? Shopping at? Dining?

Any advice appreciated ...

Don't know how you feel about dinner shows but I actually enjoyed the Buffalo Bills Wild West show. The chili was very good believe it or not. You can't help but see the village cause you walk through it every time you walk from your hotel to the parks. So if something catchs your eye, just stop in. It is not nearly as big as Downtown Disney in Orlando nor is it separated so you won't have to make any special trips to go there.

I'm a fan of the all-you-can-eat buffet at La Grange (top floor of Billy Bob's Country & Western Saloon.) Good value for money, provided you've got a big enough appetite. Otherwise, as Olivier says, you can't go wrong with Annette's!

I strongly suggest you take some time and enjoy a meal at Annette's: burgers are huge and usually very tasty! I heard The Steakhouse is very good though quite more expensive than Annette's, but I never tried so this is not first-hand information. I also heard the all-you-can-eat buffet at Billy Bob's Saloon is also good but never tried it in person. Except the restaurants above, Disney Village is a nice place for a stroll, but nothing more. If you're looking for dinig experience outside the parks, enjoy the Manhattan Restaurant at Disney's New York Hotel.

I have fond memories of the Disney Village. I can remember it being a very vibrant, eclectic place - much more of an ambience than Downtown Disney in Orlando.

buffallo bills is fun, foods good just could be warmer.

the village isnt that great, has some ok places to eat and shop (the gallery is great for the high end books and paintings - but the emporium on mainstreet and the castle is better for collectables) it just feels like empty space,

I've heard great things about the Buffalo Bill's Show, a slice of America (real cowboys and real Native Americans) in the middle of France.
Not seen it myself though.

The annoying reality is that a huge chunk the Disney Village is actually run by Disneyland Paris itself. Most of the shops sell the same character merchandise you can find in the Parks.

When we went to Planet Hollywood, they would NOT give us refills on our sodas. If you're looking for one of "those" kind of restaurants, you'll have a much better time going to the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris instead.

That being said, I got several shot glasses to add to my collection from King Ludwig's, Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe.

Basically, Disney Village was a nice place to buy some of the Park merchandise without actually having to go in the Parks. But beyond that, it's largely a rather uneventful collection of chain restaurants (although we were totally fine with sitting down at Planet Hollywood just for the American food one night).

We thought about going to Buffalo Bill's, but then we found out that the Show Director, Jean-Luc Choplin, was the same guy behind Disneyland's Parade of the Stars... so we changed our minds.

We ate at King Ludwig's once. They had "buy one get one free" beer and kids got to eat free. We couldn't pass that up. The food was German and very good and our waiter was pleasant. Like Disney Magic said, you are going to go through DD to get to the park, so just enjoy the environment. Life is what you make of it so have fun!

ive seen the buffalo bill show twice,
its fun, though the guns arnt loaded, which would be more fun for the shooting stunts if they were,
the only downer (apart from the luke warm food - though thats the entire resort) is the smell, the horses are kept under the seating and it really hits you as you enter, you get used to it but.....wow.

And don't forget to take a ride on Panoramagique - the tethered hot air balloon at the lakeside end of the Village. It gives stunning views over the resort and surrounding countryside. You can even see the Eiffel Tower on a clear day!

Thanks for all the advice. With the parks closing at 6, I'll have plenty of time to wander around and eat an drink and eat and shop and eat ... oh and did I say eat?
