Re: Summer schedule 2006

Good hotel reservation situation (month of June is over 90% sold) urged EDL s.c.a. to extend Saturdays fireworks till 13th of July and then it is daily business.

On 7th of June Rock'n Roller Coaster and Moteurs... Action! Stunt Show are both closed. Not a good idea.

Updated the schedule above.

Re: Summer schedule 2006

It was very strange to be at DLP and have the park close at 6 p.m. with another 3 1/2 hours of daylight remaining. Longer hours are a must in spring and summer.

But DLP (the park) was great! Everything I thought it would be and then some. Sadly, though, the stories about upkeep and maintainance are all true. The place is falling apart worse than DL was a few years ago. Although they are doing plenty of work all around.

Every attraction I experienced was a better, more modern and complete version of its American counterparts. The E-Tickets in particular just blow away their USA versions.

The level of detailing in this park is astounding and is easily some of WDI's finest work ever.

Live entertainment is also much better than anything at WDW. Lion King and Tarzan were both super.

CMs were much better than I ever though, although at a resort that caters to a large UK visitor base I would have expected more CMs to be able to speak English. But they were all friendly. Just really great to talk to. The French management (and US execs) are another matter entirely. I would venture to say that 90% of the French managers have no clue they are working at a resort and are supposed to cater to guests. They were surly and nasty.

DSP ... well, you can read my thoughts on the guest column forum. But suffice to say, it is the smallest, least-impressive Disney park you could ever go and visit. How it was ever built amazes me.

The resorts are all in various state of disrepair, decay and construction to make up for years of neglect. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay on property when you can stay in Paris, one of the most amazing cities, and get there by train in 40 minutes.

Suffice to say, I'll be back.
