Re: DLRP doing well

Huge crowds have surprised EDL s.c.a. pants down. I've heard angry trip reports, like: three attraction in five hours + an hour to get a cold tasteless burger.. following a promise to never come back. The other side of success.

I'm quite sure that if it's not raining on 1st of July, the park is cramped.

Re: DLRP doing well

Well it gives another reason for the WDS expansion - its not just to attract new people, its to accomodate these people in.

Oh, we'll definitely be going on a weekday. I've been going to Disneyland long enough to know never to go on a weekend in summer.

I'm thinking on June 29 or the 30. Probably one of those two dates.

Re: DLRP doing well

make sure to go see the natilus and dragon in the caves under the castle, its the small stuff that really makes the park.

Agreed.

Disneyland Paris is chocker of these little touches.

Haha, that lucky sod just gets even luckier when he gets to meet me a few days later!

you should really include one weekendday in your visit

the park is a totally different experience in the dark

during the weekdays you won't see the park in the dark, because they close at eight or so (sun goes down at ten)

while in the weekends, the park closes at eleven (with fireworks afther that), and you get to see the park in the dark for about one hour and a half

it really really really is worth it

make sure you doe everything you want on a less crowded weekday, and come back on a weekendday, not just only to do attractions, but to enjoy the atmosphere, the theming, the little less popular attractions (nautilus castle, alladin "walkway", robinson tree house, the caves in adventureland, etc). A ride on Big Thunder Mountain during the dark is a MUST DO attraction, waiting lines are not long during the evening (about 20 minutens maximum, or look for a fast pass during the last operating hour, although I think there is no fast pass during the last operating hour at BTM)

Discoveryland is TOTALLY different during the eveninghours, and Frontierland/Adventureland are rather "dark" but very nicely done, a lot of atmosphere, very cool near Phantom Manor and the adventure isle caves.

I have an annual card for Disneyland Resort Paris, and I NEVER visit the park when it's not dark during the eveninghours (so I really welcome those longer openinghours during the weekends, because I never visited the park during springtime untill the summerseason)

Re: DLRP doing well

I was there last friday, and the parks were very crowded, which is quite surprising as it was a weekday, and most summer holidays in Europe didn't start already, as far as I know.

Thinking of the Micechat trip in 2007 to head to Paris.....How are crowds during October, off season or on?

Crowds are mild if you compare to summer, but on Halloween waiting lines can be 30-45min. The later October you come, the wetter the weather gets. October is the rainiest month of the year in DLRP.

Re: DLRP doing well

DLP is almost giving away tickets for free

many people, I think all the people, book with some kind of promotion

so probably the attendance will rise this quarter, but probably the spending per guest will go down
